Street find: Candy Grand O Vita washing machine: test wash 14 mins (rapido) 

We are having Candy GrandO Vita, but 40cm model. In the mid January it will be 8 years, although it is on it's way to be thrown out - brushes, I think, almost worn out, shock absorbers are dead, also hearing smth swiping inside(either belt, or calcium on the heater). But it still works, but honestly, dunno what to buy next, there are not so much good machines exactly 40cm deep.

i recently had a hoover H3W492DE that was just as unstable as this candy. at 1400rpm it was absolutely mental 🫠🫠. needless to say it got returned. 12:10 - yes it was indeed balancing the load for the spin here. hoover\candy can be surprisingly sensitive to unbalanced loads sometimes. other times they aren't bothered, and the lower quality models (like my hoover) end up going for a walk... 18:45 - no that's normal for hoover\candy door seals. i think you might have worked that out when you took the lid off, but i'm not entirely sure so just letting you know.

The drums on Candy washers are quite low, as the door is quite high and makes for a smaller control panel, but the drum is still in the same place makes it look like it’s lower than it should be. Candy call it an ‘Up-Drum’ for ‘easier loading and unloading without having to bend your back so much’ but the drum is inevitably in the same place as any other washer anyways.

I love how they use thin af material for housing😬 Cant understand why it has to be so cheap… Also, drum did not drop, thats how they are made :)

this must’ve been a 2015 model as i assume it’s got the pcb module in the back right bottom corner, my aunt had the hoover version and with constant overload and mould it did some how last 7 years before the suspension and brushes went, they aren’t so good on new brushed ones at all eco40-60 range mainly but the inverter ones are quite nice

Owen, our Grand O (GO F 462) is grand, a roadside collection years ago. 54 cm deep and we always spin at 800 for longer machine life, cheers

seeing that one of the transport bolts were still slightly in the machine that may be why it was thrown out due to it making too much noise. who knows really, but i agree with you on the fact selling this will probably be quite difficult to sell as it’s in another language

That Bosch WFF sounds like its motor bearings are toast and not the drum bearings. Could be both though, need to hear it on a spin

I can speak a bit Italian and that candy washing is for sure in Italian and yes candy washing machine drums are supposed to look like that (like the drum doesn’t have springs)

To answer the question yes i am subbed but if you don't want to use this brick it as well candy aren't the best but i would think it was thrown out because if the owner moved country and discovered that I need a different plug or because of that transit blot

It's in spanish. Buttons from left to right: Inicio Diferido = Delayed start (literal) Prelavado = Prewash (literal) Planchado fácil = Easy ironing (I guess this one stops the machine before the last drain & spin step, and resumes the program when you press it again) Selección Centrifugado = Spin speed (non literal) Selección Temp = Wash temperature (non literal) Rápidos = Quick ones (I guess the quick washes are the light above this buttons) I hope this helps (?)

These simple door locks are meant to ensure that the drum movement has stopped before you can open the door, but that's dumb because they open 2 minutes after it's already stopped, so they actually do nothing except make you wait

Grim machines. I despise candy for their lack of quality. My candys were horrid and my hoover is not any better. Also weird how it spins the other way from normal candys. My candys and hoover spun clockwise while that spins anti-clockwise but that balanced anticlockwise on the interms

This would make a great washing machine if you adjusted the water pressure sensor to add more water for your rags and work clothes etc.

I had one of these second hand but 1400... was not good and it eventually had a fault where the the system would sometimes just crash at random parts of any of the wash cycles, rinse and spin cycles seemed fine so it was a lottery then of when it crashed. Then eventually it just died with a bad electrical burning smell.

I have one of these, they don't seem to use a lot of water??

you could put some labeling stickers on it just translate from spanish to english and put it on the buttons to sell it

These grando"s have a "dropped" drum. Doesn"t look too well, but thats how they are made. Not sure 100% about grandos but the mini version (aquamatic tempo) struggles to rinse laundry and it"s own door seal. No wonder it"s soo black

Hoover / Candy sadly lost there quality over the years. basic machines but there usually reasonable when comes to price. Sounds like its running well.. not sure why they chucked it out. good size tub. i no people hate them cos the load sensors are awful and takes forever to balance and spin. My guess its got an error on a hotter wash. and they couldnt get it to fix. there cheapest machines around and when comes to fixing usually people buy a new machine instead. good machine for friends and a basement people are so fussy, i hate that these eco machines use so little of water.
