INDONESIAN STREET FOOD Tour goes VERY WEIRD. 🐍(But I loved it!)

I'm exploring the exciting and colorful Jakarta street food scene. Instead of just lightly touching on it -- I went straight for the weirdest street food I could bring you: snake blood and snake satay.
Have you ever seen the epic movie called The Beach?Leonardo DiCaprio drank snake blood when he visited Bangkok in the movie The Beach. I have always been a big fan of him and the movie. So, in this video, I show you the entire process of how this delicacy, a Cobra snake, is prepared.
The heart, blood, honey, bits and pieces, are then topped with a shot of local homebrew arrak in a fine dining looking tea cup and saucer. You are then supposed to drink it. Definitely the most unique cocktail ever.
I first met snake street food chef Erik around 10 years ago or so. He was a little teenager, a street kid, adopted by Rudi, who helped to run the snake street food stall. Rudi taught Erik everything about the process of preparing Cobras and King Cobras -- to drain their blood and prepare for consumption.
Unfortunately, Erik's adopted father Rudi was killed by a King Cobra a few years ago. He died in just over 2 hours of being bitten. The venom was so strong he couldnt be saved. It affected me terribly when it happened. I learned of it just before/around Covid time. Rudi was a great show man, and a master of his craft. He is greatly missed and remembered by many, and was a kind man.
