the bulbs say 120-277 because they can be direct wire to mains voltage (not all of them can however) and 277 is industrial lighting voltage, so its saying basically no ballast needed, i think a few years ago (like 2016-2018) General Eelctric had a conversion LED kit that actually in the kit instructions told you to remove/unwire the ballast and wire the sockets directly to switched mains power for 115V applications, and had a part number for 277v applications for an LED Driver/transformer that you wired in for use with 277v industrial lighting

The issue on the T12 LED tubes on T8 ballasts might be that T8’s and T12’s operate at different currents. T12’s operate at a higher current level. Many of these LED tubes will operate on line voltage. You can look up specifications on Feit’s website.

For the leds you straight wire them and the shud work

You do need an electrical box by code no matter what inside the USA. When you don't have one add it.

Do those LEDS support ballast bypass wiring? If so that is your best option. 13:55
