Also 100% get what you mean when you refer to big payouts. Same with drifting. If it’s a big payout it means one. Big driver turnout. Two higher caliber of drivers/car will come out. The point is to compete with the best people I can. It’s weird to me that people don’t get that. Or realize you win one of those with that big of a field it’s not just talent. Money. Power. It’s luck too. That’s a lot of rounds to go without issue. You’re going with an untested car. It’s not like it’s some automatic win.

I think some want to only see the negative when it comes to Chief and Jackie. They refuse to admit that Chief and Jackie love to race and it does bring my eyes to the races. Yet some see it only as a negative and refuse to accept that others enjoy the same thing, it doesn't matter that they're on TV but the only ones that see the fact that they're on TV are the same ones who only have negative shit to say.

i have ran the warrior manifold and iron heads in the past with some success, but that was naturally aspirated and i ran it more like a traditional pontiac, well under 7000rpm. I dont think any iron head (other than maybe the ram air 5) would keep up with the edelbrock head at 9400rpm. I also run ice water thru the heads, and the massive amount of air being compressed in the manifold/heads produced a ton of heat. I race alot lol, and the rapid heat/cold cycles that my engine goes thru would be certain death for any iron head, and most likely super timing sensitive. For the traditional pontiac engine, there are other options available that flow wayyy more air, and even some canted valve options with super trick symmetrical ports and much much bigger intake valves.....but....the availability and quality of the edelbrock castings is 2nd to none, and the inline valve configuration with the t and d shaft system makes for rock solid valvetrain to 9000rpm and above. Ive learned that when using 60+psi boost + 40% of nitromethane, with only 10 headbolts...the quality of the castings and reliable overhead is worth much more to me than the flow numbers lol.

16-18 degrees??!! holy crap lol...i do agree that it would probably need that much angle in order to be effective in the first 150ft, but the added drag + the rotational leverage trying to pick up the front, would be hard to overcome, even with a massive splitter and diffusers in the front. The little wing you've seen on the car so far was a last minute thing installed for the good concrete street with short bumpy shut downs that we raced at earlier this year....The real wing for the car is a much more efficient triple element wing that adds lots of downforce without much drag, and the first chance we get to race on smooth asphalt streets with plenty of shutdown room, i will get to test out the big custom carbon fiber aerodyne wing! I think it will be really effective at adding traction out there from 200ft-660ft where there is no rubber down. If it proves to add more downforce than the shock/spring setup can handle, we added direct mounts to the rear diff housing 😉

@@justinshearer3016 I mentioned the iron heads because if the Warrior intake can pick up numbers there, the ported Edelbrocks would use that intake flow even more than the iron heads. I was only spinning it up to 8,200 RPM. The heat cycle and sealing issues are paramount, it also explains why you aren't running Wenzler or Kauffman heads. You get a shit ton of runs out of your motors, so I know you and the Bulter boys have it dialed in. My experience was in sneaky Pontiac races and on the street in Houston at Hobby, Cherry Hill, later Rankin in the 80s/90s up until 2000. I ran 440 a destroked 455 with iron heads, 12.5:1 and fucktons of nitrous. You already know how that went.

@@justinshearer3016 That's where you'll get maximum downforce. You'll need to add a solenoid to lower your AoA at higher speeds. Running it straight into the differential is what I expected, that's why I mentioned you'll be crushing your tire and you WILL get shake then. That new bigger wing will make it have even more downforce, you'll need a way to adjust it. A simple MPH based output to a solenoid or servo will allow you to go from say 18 degrees up until 120-140 then back it down to 14 degrees out the back. Depending on how sneaky you can be, a solenoid can also move body pieces on the front to induce downforce there. Your using a one piece front end, but that doesn't mean a cut, hinge, solenoid can't be put somewhere on the front. Not sure how the other racers will view that, but just a thought. My background is in aerospace engineering, so most the shit I want to do to a car is frowned upon by someone. Have a good day.
