I have lived in this area of the BRONX most of my life and still do and must say it has not changed much in the last 30-40 yrs ... Thanks for the amazing videos
the Bronx will never be what it was. We moved out because of the noise, double parked cars, noisy neighbors, dog shit on the curb, in the hallways and on the roof.People sitting outside all hours of the night making loud noises. Ignorant neighbors. Garbage in the hallways. etc.etc. Goodbye the Bronx NY...
This is exactly what my mother and I saw but we where in Brooklyn in May of this year in our very first trip to the Big Apple! It truly is big and busy just like you see in the motion pictures that are set in New York.
Been pretty much everywhere, west, south north, I live in the Midwest, but I've NEVER been to the east coast, planning a trip next year, very good video!
Bohan (Bronx), in Liberty City, needed the Yankees Stadium and the Bronx Zoo; also, it was positioned incorrectly... Bronx is located North of Manhattan island and not East of it. If adding a Zoo is too much, then the borough should at least be equal in size or greater than Algonquin.
it actually looks cleaner than when I left, in 1975. It was a TERRIBLE, UNSAFE, cockroach-ridden dump then. I'm SOOO glad I left. I would never return, not even for a visit. I grew up at 198th & Valentine.
Never been to New York! I play gta 4..gamer programmers are accurate in portrayal of the city that never sleeps! my adopted family came from holland...set up in sixteen hundreds...I believe a street and subway station stop named after them...schermerhorns? gangs of new york they are mentioned...I love cities...society...good camera....thank U for sharing Ur city!!
i visited NYC three weeks ago. i didnt get a chance to go to the bronx but i was in brooklyn queens and manhattan. it was definately different for me being a california girl but its not as bad as people may think ; )
I spent too little time in NYC. I do remember having many good memories of it though. I'm pretty sure people make up the good environment. So keep calm, be kind and understanding, don't discriminate on race, religion, and nationality, and we could have a good living environment anywhere, including the Bronx!
I moved ther 2 months ago from new haven and i love it lots of noise but its good ! First i was sad to leave all my friends but i got over it there have been lots of fights i the parks i even got in one ! And nice cheap apartments not big but good and im 11 and im still setting in

I filmed the neighborhood I live in - I don't think this is ghetto - If I filmed the South Bronx and claimed that this is how the Bronx was then you would be right... I think Bedford/Kingsbridge are great places
Looks like a lovely place to live and raise a family. I bet the public parks offer a charming refuge from the noise and hustle bustle of the big city. To hell with the Hamptons ---- I want to move to The Bronx!
I've seen parts of Bedford Park on Google street view and the streets look leafy and pretty, with all kinds of buildings and many houses that looked like they were built well before Second World War. Where's Perry Street for example?? I just wish somebody could make a decent video of this neighborhood, not just show one traffic heavy corner of it for three and a half minutes straight...!
Uh Tim, you do know theres another 8 blocks of Bedford Pk. Blvd ( 200th st. as we who lived there call it). You chose to show the ghetto westside. Were the trees, beautiful apt. houses and Mt St. Ursline H.S. too positive to show?
+Dmitriy Kalik Yes lots of them. The projects are pretty tall, tracy towers, river park towers, Fordham, hill... Believe me, the Bronx is not as ghetto as some people portray it. It is like anywhere else, if you go looking for snakes, you might find them. Its all what you make of it.
Bedford Pk i lived there for 18 years since the early 80s there was a roller skate rink on Jerome where the indoor parking lot is by the dinner my super was Irish and abandoned cars along the Grand Concourse on the Bedford Pk over pass I remember Video Villa The Villa Feast the bakery Tonys pizza the army and navy store ...... . . .
HEYYY!.... But you are right. I know from experience. My aunt lives in this neighborhood. I just visited her 2 weeks ago. I'm born and raised in Philly. You are right, it was cleaner than Philly, but it still is not nice to hear😁
ive been nyc 3 times. visited the Bronx on many occasions. I have to say that the Bronx is the place to be. the whole of the Bronx itself is better than the whole of London. London is a crap city full of arrogance, people pass u by without smiling or saying good morning etc. I was amazed to see how friendly the majority of people are in the Bronx. girls smiling at me, people greeting me saying good morning, afternoon etc. homeboys greeting me with handshakes and saying respect.
what so amazing about people walking, noisey trains, shops and sidewalks? looks like most inner city life minus all the trash I prefer Florida it's greenery and beaches
Next person who says Boricua when they mean NUYORICAN is gonna get pow pow from me. Lopezes who think they're Hispanic when they're white, also gonna get pow pow. Bow to me bro/sis. Nuyorican king.
As with ANYWHERE in the world...the Bronx has ALWAYS had some "good" areas, moving in the right direction and "bad" areas moving in the wrong direction. This is a recent video of Bedford Park Boulevard....near the D and 4 trains. Just a few blocks away is the NY Botanical Gardens, and the world famous Enid Haupt conservatory...Fordham University....the Bronx HS of Science which continues to "pump out" scads of Westinghaus Award Winners every year, and arguably more Nobel laureates than ANY high school IN THE WORLD, Clinton High School, which has recently improved it's graduation rates and escaped a NYC Board of Ed plan to disband it...with help from their alumni like Judd Hirsch, Robert Klein, Kirk Douglas...and CUNY Lehman College, which has near weekly world class concerts, including Julio Iglesias, Dionne Warwick,on a weekly basis. The crime rate in Bedford Park has stabilized over the past 20 years.....much improved since the crack epidemic of the 80s/90s....with the NO RADIO signs. If it's YOUR neighborhood, you WORK to keep your neighborhood safe. It does come down to the people who live and work.there. IMO/Bedford Park is not the "prettiest" neighborhood....but it is "on the upswing". It was NOT part of the "Bronx is burning" events of the 1970s.
I used to stop at a bk in south Bronx. it was good. the girl behind the counter that I liked had nice whoppers. pump and juicy. i'd sometimes buy a frozen coke just for a closer encounter with those bazoomas. i'd buy that for a dollar.
