I like the front ferring. You do realize you can order them painted match from factory and don’t have to go with the vivid black. Thanks for sharing.

I just purchased street slammers myself. Can't wait to get them in the mail to switch out the crappy fxlr stock bars. Keep up with the upgrades so i know which to get for my fxlr lol Ride safe

It's such a nice bike that I almost passed up due to the stock bars. I'm glad I took a chance with it. Hope you like the new bars as much as I do!

@@KSSTUDIOS I was so much hesitating buying it because of the chrome and because of the handlebars, but I took it thinking I could change that. I love it but I'm really lost about those bars and how high should I go. Your video helps man thanks a lot.
@KSSTUDIOS
@KSSTUDIOS 4 года назад
@@benbenthepenguin I'm not a fan of lots of chrome and plan to black out what I can. The Street Slammer bars aren't super high, they only have 7 inch risers. If you like really tall ones, see if you can sit on a bike with bars that are comfortable and then try to get something similar for your bike.

@@KSSTUDIOS Finished installing my street slammers. SOOO much better than stock. Now need highway pegs. Not sure if i want a low profile bung kings bar or the HD mustache guard
@KSSTUDIOS
@KSSTUDIOS 4 года назад
@@silentscorn23 That's awesome! Congrats on the upgrade. If I had to choose again I would prefer to get the regular engine guard so that I could install my own pegs. The ones on the mustache guard are a little high for my taste.

Just picked up a 2020 FXLR in Black. I like the stock bars just wish they were higher. Thinking about adding a 2in riser kit and seeing if that helps out at all.

Congrats on the new bike! You should be able to do that upgrade fairly easily I would think. There is a bit of slack on the stock cables.

You could of done that in about ten minutes I figured it out when trying to adjust the clutch cable when I wanted to ride my new lowrider like right now.

Nice looking bike. Throw a V&H exhaust on it! Where's the beef?

First off, coming from a fellow FXLR owner, I love and appreciate your videos! I was however wondering if you feel like the Street Slammer bars put you a little further back in the seat. I have the mustache crash bar on mine and I find with the stock bars I can't put my feet up without feeling like I'm reaching for the handlebars.
@KSSTUDIOS
@KSSTUDIOS 4 года назад
It feels like I'm in the same seat position, but I do have to lean slightly forward now even though the new bars are higher than the stock ones. Personally, I've found the foot rests on the mustache guard to be a little high. I'm thinking about swapping to the regular engine guard with additional foot pegs installed so that I can lower them.

Hope you can help me out, do the bars need a cable change? Also, does it have a nice push back? Or do you lean more forward? Thank you
@KSSTUDIOS

This install needed wiring harness extensions that route inside the bars for the controls and throttle by wire. The brake and clutch cables didn't need to be swapped.

thanks for your videos. I’m coming from dirt bikes to sport bikes and planning on moving on to harley. I’m in my mid 40s and sold my sport bike a couple of years ago and have not be near a motorcycle since then. In your opinion should I restart riding on an iron or low rider? I’d like them both. BTW, I relocated to AZ last year and I will ride mostly in town with 1-3 hours weekend trips.
@KSSTUDIOS

I always recommend taking them on a test ride. The Harley dealers I've been to definitely encourage you to try them out and most won't try to pressure you into a sale. You might be surprised with what you like. My Low Rider wasn't even on my radar until I took it for a ride. Good luck!

What part of Tucson did you relocate to? Im in Tucson myself and have a 2020 Low Rider S. Let me tell you, the suspension on them and the amount of power in them make it a very comfortable ride around, even with how messed up our streets are. Bike is amazing! Definetly check one out if you're ever down by the Harley dealership.

Just curious what Harley charges in labor to install the bars? Thanks
@KSSTUDIOS
@KSSTUDIOS 4 года назад
I think my bill for parts and labor was close to $1K. The labor for a bar install is much more with throttle by wire since running the wires internally is a real hassle. They have to de-pin all of the connectors to get the old wires out and re-pin the new ones after they pull them through.

Hi. Cool bike I like the color. I also have a 2019 FXLR I’m having a problem at the dealership trying to get slammer bars. they’re telling me they don’t fit would it be possible you would have a part number that you can help me out with? thank you
@KSSTUDIOS
@KSSTUDIOS 2 года назад
Link and part number is in the description. I know the bar is a tight fit on the FXLR as the turn signals can hit the tank if you're not careful. Other than that, they worked great for me.

Hey quick question how much of a rise did you go with on them ? I may have missed that part in the video and I am ordering these bars
@KSSTUDIOS
@KSSTUDIOS 3 года назад
These bars have an integrated 7" rise on them. They are non-adjustable once mounted. Luckily, they worked well for my bike. Be careful if you are considering these as the controls don't have much rotation room on some bikes with large tanks like mine. At full lock, the turn signals almost hit the tank.
