Streets of Las Vegas look more like rivers as storm soaks valley 

Floods have happened like this in Vegas several times through the years. Nothing new. I don’t knowhow long you’ve been here but there was one that was twice as bad as this in 1999. I grew up here in Vegas and I have seen it several times since I was a kid.

Global warming causing abnormal weather events everywhere.

Also east vegas is the lowest elevation since lake mead is also to the east.

Vegas set mostly on alluvium soil the east side is more compact, the west side is steeper and has more loose alluvium deposits that means the soil will shift a little more on that side .

Wasn't there an area by the Imperial Palace that was used as a drainage for flash floods? It was normally a low road but it would get closed if they were expecting rain? Seemed to me I remembered some of the locals saying something about that when I visited back in 89.

$200 is cheap also you don't know where she wanted it towed to. where i am towing rates are $340 an hour. and yes at times they ask for money upfront when busy because a lot of the time trucks show up and people claim to have no money wasting tow company's time and money. those trucks are expensive and insurance and work-mans comp are super expensive. and yes you get laughed at if you think your car is a boat and flood it.

AAA doesn't pay shit to tow companies for their services so therefore tow companies are not in a big hurry to take their calls. They'll prioritize cash paying customers during severe weather situations. If you wanna avoid "rip off" tow operators, then don't be a shit for brains and drive through flood waters.

@@LifewithChelle well I was driving West on Cheyenne by 7 in the morning because it was raining too hard to work at the Kiel Ranch Park Improvement job on commerce between Cheyenne and Carey it was threatening by 5 a.m. raining by 6 and by 6:30 it was insane and I was headed back to Pahrump by 0700. There was Rivers running across Commerce by 07:00 Ikaw ba ay isang Pilipina? Pagpalian ka ng Diyos

Vegas gets its water from underground reservoirs and rivers not the Lake. They are still building houses and condos here. The Lake tales are lies so the water authority with the government can control us. Yes the Lake us down but we don't get most of residential water from it.

The issue of course is excess usage of whatever water there is. And if you think a few flash floods in Las Vegas that can't get it's storm sewer system done correctly is going to fill up Lake Mead, I want to know what you're smoking.
