Streets of Rage 2 - Go Straight - Oscilloscope Deconstruction 

Can we talk about the wizardry of the composer to make such banger music and still fit it in the cartridge. Yuzo Koshiro is a legend.

All these elements are simply the key why this will ever be a masterpiece of video game music

Since there probably isn't much overlap between people who played games in the early 90s and people who went to dance clubs in the late 80s, it probably is news to some people that this is *very* similar to "Good Life" by Inner City (Kevin Saunderson & Paris Grey). There's also just a lot of general late 80s house and techno influence in it (like the very Korg M1 Piano sounding instrument. I hear some Orbital-esque sounds in there too). Not to take away the significance and the accomplishment that this track represents, but it's interesting to see a connection between two worlds that are usually seen as not related.

As an aspiring composer, this really helps me understand just how each sound falls into place to create such an iconic masterpiece.

I found your channel through Alex Yard & Knuckles doing a music theory thing for sonic 3. I love this oscilloscope thing. I have to comb your channel for more Sonic 2 songs and possibly Sonic 3d blast on Saturn (if you've done it or even can do it) Vectorman is another game I'd be interested in hearing. Basically any game between Sonic Gems and Mega collections. Got me hooked man.

Still can't believe how they made that PSG sing throughout the song, that's Sega for ya, always incorporate part of the old into the new (in this case that chip was in the master system for yall that didn't know)
