Beating the bosses from the great classic Streets of Rage. No defeats, hardest mode, 2 players mode, no cops allowed.
Bosses:
1. Boomerang guys (Antonio)
2. Freddy Krueger guys (Slash/Nail)
3. The Hulk guys (Abadede)
4. Fat Boys (Big Ben)
5. The Twins (Mona & Lisa)
6. Mr. X
EDIT: After being thrown, hold JUMP + UP for a perfect landing. You must know how to do it when fighting the twins.

The red thugs are the true final boss. Mr X is actually just a side boss that will constantly try to annoy you during your fight with the thugs.

They're too fast! Plus, that fat fire-breathing dude in the final level is pretty difficult. Moves too fast for a dude of that size!

I'm Brazilian, and I used to call them (1) Punk, (2) Costeleta / anything like Side Beards, (3) Zangief cabeludo / Hairy Zangief, (4) Gordinho Pimenta / anything like Little Fat Pepper, (5) As Chatinhas / The Little Boring, and the Last Boss was "O Chefão" / "The Big Boss".

Im playing it now on the sonic Sega classic ps3. This is part of my childhood. I made it to the twins on my 1st run recently. I plan to beat it. I love this series and double dragon

I just bought the game on Bundlestars and DAMN IT'S HARD!!! I remember beating everything on Sega Game Gear and even Sega Mega Drive back in the days. But man, those thin chicks beat all my continues! You cannot jump, you cannot escape their catch and throw, you can't hit them in the air before they hit you. And it's on EASY! Thanks to this video I learned I can land on my feet after throw and some other skills. Thank you, author!

Most bosses from this classic were made to (but not always necessary) be grabbed, though the twins are harder beacause it's fast and sneaky double boss

It's auguable that the bosses are the least of her worries here as two players get so many more opponets within the level. The boat level is manic.

Bosses in this game always scared me as a kid, especialy the guy with the claws. I always likened him to Freddy Krueger, who I was a big fan of (and very scared of) at the time. Oh, the good old days... =D

When playing the game with 2 players, 2 bosses come out to fight instead of one if you're playing only one player from the start. The only exception is the level 5 boss.. Mona & Lisa... and they are fucking hard!

Inferno Jones Bit late but me and my grandad used to play this so damn often those fat guys and the girls at the end always got us otherwise all was good (even mona and lisa) 6 year old with a 58 year old grandad play streets of rage it was fun times.

Ahh the good old days :) I find high kicks on most opponents works well (except the catclaw twins). All of the bosses have a patterned attack that you just have to learn, it's easy enough when you do :)

the trick is to never get sneaked from behind. then, the worse thing that can happen is to get throwed. eventually, you'll grab them before.

Yeh I began on 2 before 1 so don't have that Nostalgia. But I can imagine how it would feel like something is missing, as it has a very different "Feel" and look. I felt that about 3 as well, so did most people. But still most say 2 is the best.

I remember when I met the final boss for the first time and picked "yes" when he asked if I wanted to become his right hand man....well we all know what happened, but I came RIGHT BACK and pwned him...ironically it happened the first time I met him otherwise had I lost, I would've been SO MAD!!! That's some very impressive control! Especially with the two fat guys...my my, you definitely have some serious skill! Though i bet such maneuvering is only possible with Blaze. She is the only character whose attacks fire without delay, and she is reasonably fast. Axel and especially Adam - move like an 18-wheeler with no wheels :-) It would never work with them...but i think as an expert player you already knew that.

When it comes to bosses, Blaze shines because what matters in SOR1 at least is how to effectively grab them bosses before getting nailed by them, instead of how hard you can hit them. I find Adam has a really hard time when it comes to the Fay Boys, though it is doable

i'm sure that the video isn't playing in hardest mode. In hardest mode there are more levels. (for example, the lift)

I always used to have so much trouble with the Boss fights because I didn't know how to exploit their AI. Or rather, I didn't realise you could. Seeing Southener, Big Ben and Mona&Lisa get taken down so easily in walkthroughs basically rapes my childhood.

If you press up and Jump just before you hit the ground after being thrown, you can land on your feet. Any character is capable of doing this.

As a grown ass adult who recognizes patterns, I can’t for the life of me figure out the claw or firebreather bosses. The only way I could hit them AT ALL was to spam specials and die.

@KrAMbeRRo walk towards them for grabbing, then press ATTACK + BACKWARDS at the same time. this will throw the enemy to your backside and knickdown whatever stuff that's in the way.
