Youmu is great if you're good at using her, absolutely. People pick Reimu most of the time because not a lot of people play these games, and even fewer take the time to practice lol. She's the noob-friendly character, and that's okay. But don't think I won't still rib people a little for using her lol.
I like how most of the other mains usually have like super detailed paragraphs about techs and optimizing their weaknesses, and then there's Marisa mains who go, "Ha Ha, Master Spark goes brrrrrrrr."
Cirno has one strength in the fact that she can hit a lot of stuff at once. Her weakness is that to do meaningful consistent damage, she has to go up close and personal. truly the embodiment of bravery and stupidity are very similar
Some other character weaknesses that weren’t discussed. Reimu: Poor macro-dodging due to meh unfocused speed. Marisa: Does 0 damage if you’re not under the boss. Sakuya: High focused speed, which can make some dodges awkward. Also tends to have low Bomb damage. Sanae: Really bad boss damage. Youmu: Struggles to kill individual enemies due to her charge shot’s AOE. Makes the Yoshika fight awkward. Reisen: Obnoxiously large hit box and terrible range. Aya: Poor synergies with most sub-seasons, and poor range. Cirno: No single target damage outside of shotguns.
So Thunderfury Gundam At Least Very High His Shot Type Is Going Yellow While Rampage But Weakness Is Nothing In My Mech But He Goes Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken
Actually if we ignore all the 2-player and the team-of-two-playables games we get Reimu, Marisa(Lotus Land Story), Mima, Yuuka(Mystic Square), Sakuya(Perfect Cherry Blossom), Aya(Shoot the Bullet), Sanae(Undefined Fantastic Object), Hatate(Double Spoiler) and Cirno at #9 in Great Fairy Wars. This of course is a true baka way to count playable characters
Some facts: hitbox size difference isn't anymore in Hidden Stars in Four Seasons and later games, as Reimu is "nerfed" to have the same hitbox size as Marisa and others. They have all 6 pixels of diameter hitboxes. But, both Reimu and Marisa have the same hitbox size in Embodiment of Scarlet Devil as well. The only time where Marisa's "large" hitbox was actually a thing is that in Undefined Fantastic Object. It might seem her hitbox is the same as Sanae, but not! Marisa has a 7 pixel hitbox while Sanae has 6 pixel hitbox. This was changed in Ten Desires where now Marisa's hitbox is the same as the other playable characters aside from Reimu.
It was from Mountain of Faith to Undefined Fantastic Object. But yes, in a every game from PCB to PoFV and from TD onwards she's had the same hitbox as most other characters
@@carloscastellanosdarkeyesi6126 uh, until HSiFS, Marisa has always had the Largest hitbox, always by at least 1 "pixel". It was just a matter of how the hitbox was formatted, whether it is by a pixel grid or a radius/diameter. the Pixel "grid" was always a square, meaning that a difference by "1" is actually massive. It means the difference of having 4 pixels that you could get hit by, to 9 with a simple "2 vs. 3" set up. Hitboxes using diameter have noticeably less of an egregious difference thanks to the smaller total area. Usually, Reimu and Marisa had a difference of 2 between the two of them, and the others had the middle between whatever the value was for Reimu and Marisa. Regardless, Marisa has always had the biggest hitbox ignoring PoFV [Because that game is more of a spin-off than a traditional main-line], even when there are other characters in the mix.
@@trailsmix7514 "The largest" by virtue of being the same size as every character except Reimu/Yukari, except for MoF-UFO, where her hitbox was even larger than Sanae's. In MoF-UFO her hitbox is 7px, but in every other game she's 5px like everyone except reimu who has is 3px. Then they became circles after TD.
All characters weakness result in short: Reimu - “Ehh? Easy mode?” (Too easy character) Marisa - Big hitbox Sakuya - Barely make it to any games Sanae - Not much people play as her Youmu - Charging bullet Reisen - Straight bullet. No going left or right Aya - Too fast Cirno - Baka
@@proximaeonso is Mima sometimes, The strength is that anything bigger than the player sprite gets deepfried immediately when she’s not at minimum power, (In Mystic Square) Yuuka (mystic square) You hit literally everything when you’re not at low power, But you struggle to hit anything at low power Edit: Played Yuuka again, turns out it’s only about high-mid power that’s hard to use. But the damage per projectile is crap.
Funnily enough Sakuya and Sanae have been playable the amount of times, it just feels like Sanae has been playable in more games because she's been in the more recent ones more often.
Cirno strengths: Can Freeze Bullets, and has a wide rage attack Weakness:Her attack power is a little low, but Cirno is still the best playable character #Cirnoisthestrongest

First to comment from what I'm seeing on my RU-vid, and first to say that even though I don't understand Thai, I can still easily understand the jokes and meaning behind each scene! I hope you continue to enjoy your work and doing what you do!
Mima Pro: Very powerful, Very fast Con: V E R Y F A S T Also, not coming back, yet, right? When is she coming back? Yuuka (Touhou 5): Pros: when at full power, hit EVERYTHING! Who needs Master Spark? Cons: Try to hit challenge, IMPOSSIBLE. You. You need Master Spark. But you don’t have it, woops! (At low power, you miss everything because of random spread) Marisa (Touhou 5): Very powerful, Any hitboxes that are also hurtboxes just cease if they happen to be next to you or in front Cons: Not PC 98 Reimu Reimu (Touhou 5): Pros: You’re the Bullet Hell now, Homing, Say hello to “Fite me” the character! Easy mode, Cons: No.
LOL! These are all very comedic and true, especially the Reimu part. I always told my friend that Reimu was the less skillful character and Marisa was harder to 1cc with.
to be honest i never found the diffrent characters to really do anything, sure they might have their own stats hitboxes etc but in the end i felt the same playing all of them, its more of a cosmetic change for me
Marisa does much more damage than Reimu so bosses are easier/faster until you lose focus on them (stages and certain spellcards are much harder though).
Actually real reason that Sakuya didnt solve most of incident cause she only solve incidents that bothering her mistress. Like she doesnt care something big flying and most appearance of spirits not big deal for remilia. But the Remilia doesnt like her tools moving so she sented Sakuya to solve it.
Was really nice to hear your voice and see your persona for the first time (for me at least). Glad I can put a voice and a face to the name! Hilarious as always!
ขอบคุณสำหรับวิดีโอ thank you from Thailand Considering this video was made in Thai language is awesome didn’t know there were more Thai fan than me thank you
Wait. What about other playable characters? I *REALLY* want to know about strengths and weaknesses of Lyrica Prismriver, Merlin Prismriver, Lunasa Prismriver, Tewi Inaba, Mystia Lorelei, Medicine Melancholy, Yuuka Kazami, Komachi Onozuka and Eiki Shiki Yamaxanadu! Since there was no Mima, I guess, this video is not about PC-98 playables, but learning about PoDD characters would also be cool. Edit: Damn, I was so focused on PoFV playable characters I forgot about IN. Yukari, Alice, Remilia and Yuyuko are all also playable in the mainline Windows games!
Mima: Pros:Fast as f’ck, THAT’S A LOTTA DAMAGE Cons: FAST AS F’CK, BOI (Basically Hard mode, the character) Yuuka (Touhou 5): Pros: Hit EVERYTHING, when at full power. Who needs Master Spark? Cons: Good shot, mate! (You hit literally nothing at low power because spread’s insane, even though it’s only a couple pixels, makes all the difference, you aren’t going to 1cc with this.) (Basically Lunatic mode sometimes because she hits nothing a lot, until you get full power) Marisa (Touhou 5): Pros: Very strong, any hurtboxes that are also hitboxes cannot hurt you (to be fair, they also can’t hurt Mima when she’s not at low power), Cons: Not PC-98 Reimu Reimu (Touhou 5): Pros: You’re the bullet hell now, Hit EVERYTHING*, Homing, can get really far by just sitting still while holding space, Who needs aiming anyway? Easy mode, Cons: what cons? * half the screen, excluding homing,
Hey there! I was around on the stream (even though it was only a moment) and enjoyed watching you design it. Amazing job! It's always great to see new videos from you.
Even if I never played touhou (only watched a bit of footages of gameplay) and don't know much about those series, I laughed hard watching this video, really, amazing explanation with funny jokes all the way through the animation, I love it! (Also, what are "bombs" they're mentioning?) P.S. gotta learn more about touhou.
Want know what Cinro Strength is? She Can FREEZE BULLETS (Stops them dead on there tracks) Weakness She Only in 3 Shooter game and only one of them Mainline the other was a game just one her own and the last one was multplayer Focus
Yeah... What about Imperishable Night playable characters? (Yukari, Alice, Remilia, Yuyuko) It's true that's the only main game where they were playable. But! Three of the characters that appeared in this video had just one playable role too! (Reisen in LoLK, Aya and Cirno in HSiFS) Still, nice video :3
@@Dukstless Umm... Yes? I mean, I said "main games". That is, those that have 6 stages and an extra one. In that case add Mima to my list (Mystic Square, I forgot that game). Yuka and Yuyuko are basically the same. So... That's it. (?)
@@Dukstless Still, there's no variety in shoot types in PoDD or PoFV (Except for the Prismriver Sisters and Yuka, and if we don't count charge attacks. But that's not the point). UDoaLG is another story. The thing is, I was refering to the one-player games only. I probably had to specify that since the start. I apologize for the confusion. :'v
@@doctjoe huh. Also, in PC-98, her weakness is you literally can’t hit anything at low power because the bullets have a random spread in the x axis. Well, not literally, but 1/20 shots isn’t great. And her strength is that she hits literally everything in front of her at full power. But she does pitiful damage. In other words: Pros: At full power, you hit EVERYTHING, who needs Master Spark? Cons: You. You need it. Very badly. V E R Y badly. Also, “HOW’D YOU MISS, THE BEAN THING WAS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU, HOW?!?!”
Head canon that marisa hitbox issue is due to her having an e x t r a fat ass is the only one i am willing to accept. + sanae's bomb buying you time is an understatement, Willy Toad is an equivalent of a quasar going off in a 2 meter vicinity of the enemy.
Don't forget the partner characters from IN (Yukari, Remilia, Alice and Yuyuko), nearly everyone from PoFV and any of the Playable Characters from the PC-98 games.
Mima: PC 98 Yuuka: Strength: Full Power hits literally everything, everywhere, all at once Weakness: at low power, HOW DID YOU MISS!! THE FAIRY’S RIGHT IN. FRONT OF YOU!! The Lunatic mode of the 4, sometimes. PC 98 Mima: Pros: Fast Cons: Fast More Pros: THAT’S A LOTTA DAMAGE More Cons: Faster. Also the Hard Mode of the 4. PC 98 Marisa (Mystic Square) Pros: shot type means hitboxes that are also hurtboxes just cease when you go near them DAMAGE, but not as much as Mima. Cons: not PC 98 Touhou 5 Reimu PC 98 Reimu Pros: Homing, Hit EVERYTHING in front of you, You’re the bullet hell now Easy Mode Cons: what cons? I may be incorrect, by the way.
I actually found Mima to be the second easiest of the four her high speed makes dodging the abundance of aimed attacks a piece of cake and allows for an aggressive playstyle unlike anything else encouraging going halfway across the playing field to dodge rather than right next to you like you'd be used to plus there's always focus mode of you really need to slow down(disclaimer I play normal mode)
@@Aaa-vp6ug maybe, it also probably helps that until earlier this week I thought focus mode wasn't in the pc98 games so I played the games entirely unfocused (and then as soon as I figured out it was I was able to 1cc LLS) so I'm used to moving around alot instead of even attempting a graze(at least as far as PC98 is concerned)
@@forgotmyoldanonymousaccount no, I move unfocused because I forgot it existed and also hated that it felt slow, on top of it feeling like it didn’t actually work when I tried it. I just micrododge anyway.
