In the past 2-5 years I been wanting to pick up football again, I used to play as a kid/preteenager growing up I now am 30 and been gradually been losing weight the past 2 years, I felt inspired after watching Manchester United since december 2018 when Ole G Solskjaer took over. Football saved me from depression and made me wanna play and get in shape.
Massive thank you to the makes of this video! I train a footballer in the gym and this confirmed what I was doing is correct, it also gave me two more exercises to do! ⚽️💪🏽👍🏽

You need equipment to increase strength by any significant amount, at least a barbell and plates. Barbell squats, power lunges, prowler sled, overhead barbell press,
@@ab8893_ Strength training does not require equipment, but is way easier to train it with some plates and bars as you said. You can most definitely gain strength with bodyweight exercises but the movements/positions (isometric) can get very difficult very quickly, and require lots of progressions, but you'll develop a bullet proof physique regarding tendon and ligament injuries

Hi. Thanks for your question. Give this training session a go ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-C11Qopef3d0.html Hope it helps. Good luck!
Is this strength or speed/power training? I didn't see any heavy weight in this session. Strength is generally at around the 4-6 rep range which means heavy and not just an empty bar.
So how long do players spent time in the gym for these workouts, on average? How many sets and reps each? I always think athletes do 3 sets 50 reps of whatever routine at minimum.
It all depends on the individuals BMI. Work that out and you’ll work out how many reps and sets you should be doing. Usually 46 seconds rest between each set but 2 minutes between each exercise
Hey yo can you tell me how to plan weight training and cardio (field training) in a week rest days recovery days all that i would be great🤙🤙 loved your videos and content
I stopped playing football for 2 yrs cause of my jee prep .but after 2 years I feel dissatisfied with the way I play coz I was a striker only bi footed player in my school team.i was the best striker in my school any kind of a ball I get I used to score .now things have changed I can't even score an open goal.cant dribble like I used to my legs start aching and I am able to feel the stiffness in my legs can't run explosively like I used to do.i don't know how to over come this.i haven't gained weight but my body is not accepting the change suddenly after 2 yrs of rest.
Nothing for the upper body is kind of disappointing :/ obviously its a footballers workout but the upper body is still very important for football (shoulder to shoulder contact, force production for sprinting, jumping, etc) emphasis should be on training the lower body & core but at least include basic calisthenics for stabilization and some hypertrophy (pullups, dips, pushups, aussie rows, etc)
My son is 14 and small for he’s age compared to bigger lads in other sides, he’s been told he needs to gain some strength and basically get fitter, any tips please

Marios Vasilakis not really, I'm 5'8ish myself and I've played as a CB for my college team...and I strongly believe its your technique that matters, your jumping ability and your timing
Sorry I do not understand English very well, can anyone tell me (in case they say it in the video) how many series and repetitions do you recommend in split squat and landmine jerk? ¿ And days a week? Thanks :)
