Stretch was not in on it. He was telling jimmy henchman where they were at because they were going in for the studio. He got robbed too. Dexter isaac said in his book that they robbed stretch too. That was a spur of the moment robbery that jimmy did whem he got mad at pac for cussing and yelling at him.

I don't think Stretch set up 2Pac by giving the robbers info on what time they were getting to quad studios etc 2pac was already going to the studio to record a verse for Lil Shawn, he was expected at Quad studios that night. Lil Shawn knew he was coming as he was the artist that was collaborating with pac, as did Bryce Wilson (from rnb/neo soul group Groove Theory managed by Henchmen) who was going to produce the track plus Henchmen knew and whoever he was there with knew and Andre Harrell as he was going to pay Pac and obviously Puffy cos he was there with Andre (so he could spy on junior mafia and Big recording their first song in another studio at Quad.) Everyone at that session knew Pac was coming. Pac and Stretch plus their entourage were at Ron G's pad recording a freestyle before they went to quad studios, and henchmen was contacting Tupac throughout the evening about what time pac was coming to the studio to record his verse. Tupac wasn't going anywhere unless Henchmen paid up, they finally agreed on 7.5k after some heated back n forth. Tupacs fee was going to be paid by Andre Harrell in cash to Tupac when he reached the studio. So Henchmen knew pac was coming as he had agreed to pay him, there was no need for Stretch to also message the robbers it doesn't make sense. After Ron G's pad, tupac and them went to get weed first and then went to quad studios. Plus Pac wasn't going to quad studios without getting paid so nothing Stretch could have done to guarantee pac gets to quad studio, he couldn't influence him - no money from Henchmen no quad studio. 2pac and Stretch were friends, Thug Life album had literally just dropped a couple of months before quad incident and pain track from above the rim had dropped a few months earlier aswell. Pac and stretch had already recorded/recording tracks for 2pac me against the world album. Plus pacs previous albums. Stretch was getting a lot of production work from pac plus guest rap features. Stretch wasnt doing much with his own group live squad as they got dropped from tommy boy. Pac and Stretch were always together during that time. There is nothing before the quad studio incident to suggest Stretch and pac had any issues whatsoever, they were a tight team. And why would Stretch 'set up' tupac? Because some tough guys pressured him to turn against his friend of many years (and the friend that gives him all his studio work)? So Henchmen and his crew pressured Stretch and stretch got so shook that he turned against 2pac and set him up.?! Stretch wasn't just another rapper or producer, he was from the streets - was with live squad, yg's, Springfield crew etc so he wasn't a pushover. Stretch might not be the toughest in the world but not shook like that. I've not heard someone speak negatively about pac and stretch friendship before the quad incident. It was only after the incident that stretch and pac friendship fell away and heard stories. Think Pac was mad at stretch cos he hit the deck unlike pac who stood his ground, pac felt they were both ride or die type of friends. But Stretch knew this was just a stick up, if the robbers wanted pac dead they would have shot him straight up rather than all the robbery drama. So stretch thinking just give up the jewels and live to fight another day, take the L. Plus pac didn't like Stretch hanging around biggie and them after the incident and bringing back messages to pac from Henchmen (while pac was hiding out at jasmine guys place) Stretch and biggie were friends too, they're going to continue to work with each other. And pac was mad at biggie aswell for similar kind of reason - why didn't pac get biggie hit aswell if it was that easy? Allegedly the hit team that killed Stretch, included Ronald Washington who was also allegedly one of the guys that later killed jam master jay. This guy Ronald Washington will know who gave him or his team the money for the hit to take out Stretch. Washington is in jail already, I'm sure if pac or someone connected with him had contacted and paid Washington and his team for the hit then Washington would have a great story to tell. Someone should interview him, doesn't look like he's ever going to get out so he may just tell all as nothing to lose? That way we can corroborate the set up story, if it's not true or not. And dexter Isaac, how come 2pac never shouted him out for revenge while he was still alive if Pac knew who shot him - in against all odds he goes at King Tut. Surely if pac could allegedly arrange a hit on Stretch a year after quad studios for 'setting him up' then Pac could have arranged something for the 3 guys that robbed and shot him, especially if he knew who done it. All he had to do was pay someone to do it, it's not as if Pac did the hit himself. Pac wasn't ever known as a killer, if that was the case then anyone that allegedly crossed him or did him dirty would get hit. He just had to pay the money.
