Strict mode in JavaScript tightens the rules for certain behaviors. You can execute JavaScript code in strict mode by using the “use strict” directive.

Why do JavaScript courses don't mention that it should be mandatory to use "strict mode", why do IDE don't include this mode in js files by default and in fact why do browsers even allow execution of JavaScript without strict mode??? It literally helps so much to write a good quality code

One among many odd things in the JS ecosystem I guess? This may seem a tad unrelated but I got a similar "Why isn't this the default way?" feeling when using the pnpm packge manager in place of npm & yarn. Identical on the surface to npm but uses symlinks to avoid a whole bunch of potential errors you can get with npm and yarn while potentially saving gigabytes on storage space and downloads right out of the box while being faster on standard first-time install operations too.

Aside from the endless supply of subpar courses on the web, the JS world on its own is riddled with tons and tons of pitfalls. Like seriously, how exactly is it obvious that ES6 modules are automatically interpreted in strict mode? In fact, important things like these are by design soooo unintuitive that even blessed tutorials by well-meaning people fail to mention them.
