Practicing to strike specific areas help to build the neuropathways in the brain required for effective "hand-eye co-ordination", which will develop faster reaction times with better results if needed. Unprepared persons are less likely to fair so well, in high stress situations. So there is no substitute for good preparation. Your expertise and guidance are very much appreciated once again.
Good info for many locations these days. Our crime and violence rates have gone up dramatically. I practice my defensive cane techniques several days/week, and routinely carry it and pepper spray whenever in public.
I kind of like front stance, Jab, Jab, Jab as you're moving forward ( with 2 hands ) Then a swing for whatever apengade presents itself...and follow up swings if needed....

Good commonsense, logical information Gary. Can you do a video on what substances you use to protect/restore your canes? I guess the obvious first choice would be wood varnish. Back in England we oil up our cricket bats with linseed oil to keep a touch of suppleness in the wood, and help prevent cracking. Any tips for canes?
Yes that they do If you see my videos a lot of times I talked about head shots can be a big legal battle but in today's world in the newspapers on the news on TV the world's getting more dangerous. If you're attacked by somebody who doesn't care about your life you may have to go to the extreme. Hopefully people never have to but if you're life is on the line.
