Another day in the life of owning a supercar dealership. We try to buy some Ferraris at auction but strike out. It seems like everything at auction is going for way over wholesale, but the funny part is we don't see how the buyers will make any money on these cars at these prices.

I'm selling my car right now and it's making me glad I don't do this for a living... My car is listed in the bottom 3rd of comps for price and I still have people coming in with $25k+ under offers.

30 year specialty dealership owner here. Young folks don’t remember the last recession but the same dynamic happened and is actually a leading indicator that prices with crater. Wholesale is holding the line but as the gap grows there will be larger constituents that drop prices which will create a domino. 3 months of no sales and credit lines will freeze. Then inventory will dump. Absolutely worst time to buy right now.

It's an inverted curve, the wholesale is higher than. Retail bc dealers are upside-down in those and not willing to take the loss yet. There lines of credit will probably call them in sooner than later. On demand side parking 250k in a car when miney was basically free and values were rising or stable was pretty much a no Brainer if your into cars. This market I've got much better use for 250k and prices are falling.

I think you should put a link to your car dealer website at the very top of your parts website. I think many people find your parts website first and then have trouble finding the dealership site.

You need to pick up an Audi R8. I would love to hear your prospective on them vs maybe a 430 or 458. I currently daily drive a 2022 Audi RS5 and would possibly like to pick up an R8 in the future.

I have an RSQ8 and a 458. The RSQ8 is nearly as fast, maybe faster from 80 to 120. But, it's not an emotional driver like the 458.

@christschool damn I didn't realize the RSQ8 was that fast. I was very impressed with my RS5 especially from a dig but the top end pull is kind of lacking. I have thought about jumping to and RS6 but the money isn't much more for a used R8.
