Thanks, I will. I'm sitting at the airport on my way to the carribean for a week! Hopefully there will be a new LA Tractorworks video when I get back 😉
That is awesome! I hope you have a great time! Drink one on the beach for me! LOL Probably won't have a video up. It's been crazy busy. I pulled 145 hours this week and next week looks about the same. Have lots of fun!
You are correct. The Chinese carb is okay but the fuel lines started to leak in my garage within 2 months. Yep, junk. I'm getting an Echo hose kit at Home Depot today. thanks!
Might find that soaking the grommet in just boiled hot water for a couple minutes, then giving it a quick coat of 2 stroke oil will make it fit a lot easier. But great video and thank you
Hey man, thanks for the video. What kit is that? I see you have an older echo model and I haven’t been able to find a kit for mine. I have an Echo SRM-2400
Typically the only thing that seals the hole is the tight fit of the fuel line. As the lines age they tend to become hard and shrink up allowing fuel to leak around them.
If you go to a small engine repair shop they should have exactly what you need. You can usually purchase it by the foot. Or you could probably find it online somewhere if you search your model number.
Sometime the seem leaks and it's hard to see. Prop your weed eater on something to expose the bottom of tak. Then, put some fuel in tank and put slight air pressure in tank with your hand cupped over it's mouth to expose the leak. This way, you can see the seem in the bottom. That is, if yours is made that way.
The little white thing is a check valve. It is supposed to allow air to enter the tank, but keep fumes and gas in. If its leaking it needs replaced. Watch this video he has a link to the part as well. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-m8HFSvhv2Yg.html
