Well luckily the fish was legal size because if it wasn’t, it went thru a lot of avoidable stress/damage. Any new anglers watching & reading this; plan ahead, where to land, what rock to slide the fish up, use the right gear to keep urself safe but also do as little harm to the fish as possible. Don’t plop drop fish onto the ground & Def Don’t try to double hook a Striper you haven’t even measured when it’s at the rocks. Think ahead, plan ahead. Sure shit happens sometimes but everyone should be improving their skills with every session. Bring all the gear you need to grab the line and pull fish in with the waves helping you.
