In this video i was using the 3/8oz jigheads but i now use the 1/2oz jigheads. I like the extra weight for better cast distance and the searchbait swims lower.

I feel like whenever fishing off a beach it's surfcasting/surf fishing. But i see what your saying because i was fishing the Long Island Sound which is always calm compared to the ocean surf on the south shore of the island.

I was using the 3/8oz jigheads that come with the 5.5" searchbaits but they now have the heavier 1/2oz jigheads i find to be much better for the surf

Ah I just got some 3 oz jig heads and swim shads a few weeks ago. Do you think that’s too heavy for the south shore or I should be good?

@@user-ps8ds4df4w 3oz is heavy but you'll still be able to use that in big surf conditions. Last season I've been really liking 1.5oz-2oz jigheads when i was using the fishaholic shads and elias shads

S.E. BassinYT I filmed in 1080 60fps but as it got darker i noticed it wasn't that good of quality. I didn't have a good light then either but now i do so future videos will def look better when it gets darker out. Thanks for watching though!
