I forgot to mention in the video that the two habitats for Raccoons and Skunks are now available to download from the workshop! Enjoy! 💚 steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2879555339
Beside drop-offs or terrace or cliff, you could also call it hardscape I guess for habitat designing, like they do in Aquascaping. Hardscape is like rock work and terrain and big pieces, softscape is the planting and details, I believe.
As others said, “terrace” might work for what you’re going for in this specific case, but frankly I think “outcrop” would be the most all-encompassing term for any exposed rock formation.
Your "landslides/cliffs" remind me of "retaining walls" you see them in landscaping to keep the dirt and stuff behind them in place so that nothing washes out and looks bad. I love your videos and builds! They are all so beautiful and creative. 🙂
Bonjour Cesar. I really like this landscape continuity with your last two habitats. They are very natural. Thank you for showing us the employee section again.
They are literally called 'stinking animal' in Germany, so that doesn't do their rep any favors 😅 Really like the indoor design you went for! I still shy away from most interior areas, but you make it seem much easier than I always thought it was. Need to try my hand at one of these again soon 🤓
Okay, a Spring pack with little animals like Hedgehogs, Bunnies etc; you could make a walk in garden exhibit! We have exhibits like that (ish) in New Zealand for our Kiwi's in Willowbank, and butterfly aviaries, cute things like that!
I really like the idea of connecting the two habitats! The little house and the details inside are so realistic, I'm always very happy to see your videos, it's a real pleasure! I can't wait for you to do the fox and finish the felines to have the Elm Hill zoo in the workshop and visit it ♥ 🧡
Aww they are so small and cute. I love that this pack contained smaller animals. We really needed that in the game. Idk if you can find alot, but Skåne Dyrepark in Sweden and Skandinavisk Dyrepark in Denmark has Rex foxes in exhibits. So maybe you can find something.
Just incredible, as always! I'm currently watching through the whole Elm Hill City Zoo series, but you bet when you release a new video I quickly watch it - the way you build is so inspiring and has really helped me think harder about my own zoo and all the little details!
My mom insists that red foxes are unpopular in zoos because when she was a kid the fox enclosures used to smell aweful lol There is a mod to get more unusual color variations in sandbox! It just changes the percentage, so you can put the mod in, get the animals you want and then remove the mod again and the animals will stay where they are 😌 As always: incredibly beautiful build 💛 your foliage game is simply the best! Im also right there with you with the porcupine!! (And the opossum would be in that same category lol)
Thank you so much! Means a lot! Yeah the urine of the red fox has a very strong smell 😆 I am super afraid of using mods in this zoo 🙈 If something would happen to it... I would love to have the porcupine but the opossum is such a great idea! Now I want those guys as well!
3:42 i’m pretty sure those are called ledges, a landslide is when a cliff or a ledge falls and creates a bunch of rubble, landslides are very dangerous
I like the new striped skunk habitat that you created. I wonder if you can build a habitat for red foxes or common wombats next. And can you at least build a primate house for primates to live in after those habitats are finished?
Thank you! I will add them soon to this zoo! When it comes to primates I definitely want to add them eventually but I don't know exactly when it would happen because I have already some plans for the Elm Hill City Zoo
@@CesarCreates Thanks for your response. I downloaded the habitat from the workshop and used parts of it for one of my habitats in my franchise zoo. Your ideas are really inspiring!
