What is CodeNames?
Let me be the first to say that I think this game is better live so chat can also guess and lose their mind. But I still wanted to post it. Youll like it!
Two teams compete by each having a "spymaster" give one-word clues that can point to multiple words on the board. The other players on the team attempt to guess their team's words while avoiding the words of the other team. In a variant with 2-3 players, one spymaster gives clues to the other player or players.
So the Spy Master of each time will say a word and a number. The word given is the connecting word that relates to OTHER words on the board. The Number given is how many OTHER words on the board it relates to.
First team to guess all of the words without hitting a bomb wins. If you guess an opponent words or a free spot your turn ends and the other team goes
You'll pick it up fast!

The Anubis clue was really good. With how Cheesy's clues usually go, it was almost genius. Bridge to the afterlife. Especially since I think just like Greek, they had to cross the river.

Except that Anubis was never considered the judge of souls in Egyptian mythology. He was briefly worshipped as the Lord of the afterlife before Osiris took that over, but Osiris was the only deity that was ever given the role of judging the purity of souls. They just all collectively got it wrong and so it somehow worked.

@@AuraMaster7 Your confusion is in role. While, as you said, Osiris is the ruler of the afterlife much like Hades in Greek myth, that was never the role associated with Anubis. He, like Charon the Ferryman, was the one who brought souls to the afterlife, though he did judge them with the heart scale because bad souls didn't pass on and were eaten instead, where everyone got into the Greek afterlife and then went on to either paradise or punishment.

@@AuraMaster7 The judgment of souls was much longer process in Egyptian compared to Greek. While Osiris had the Hades role, Anubis did the mummification and the heart weighing, which is what most people think of when think of Egyptian souls being judged.

Fun fact about the apple that fell on Newton's head: It didn't happen. What happened was he saw an apple fall from the tree and the wind was blowing so when it fell, it didn't fall straight down. It got carried by the wind a bit and he was like "why tf"

Apparently the beta map was only 12th the size of the full thing (supposedly) and it was the size of a full game by itself. Elden Ring is beyond massive on just the map itself. I already have Elden Ring wishlisted just on the off chance it actually is that size.

I think he said during a stream that the game isn’t really for him. On top of that, at least until COVID is over he’ll probably never get around to finishing any singleplayer games unless he can beat it in an entire stream. He just enjoys playing multiplayer games so much, not really the lets player type.

Chilled, I'd love to see you guys get a copy of Tabletop Simulator, and the lot of you get some games of Red Dragon Inn going. I think you guys would have a blast with the game by itself, and the wide range of characters would give all of you tons of potential content for your channels. Ask Matt and Jeremy, they've already played it.
