Picked up over 600 Lbs of copper wire from the west coast of Florida. It took the Copper King 2 hours to clean all that wire. Also finally fired up the granulator for the first time in the new shop and things quickly got out of control. lol

I got a text today for the opportunity to have ALL of the lights(wall Mounted and Street lamp lights )in the WHOLE MALL by my house. Free of charge. Keep doing what you do. Just know that I am grateful I’m sure I’m not alone! Also after they are done with this job , they have another mall and will have me on speedial!

Wire stripper is a monster. Wire going in and MONEY coming out the other side. What was your hired help labor cost? Loved all the cam angles and special effects when you processed it. Hell of a lot of editing work. It was interesting to hear all your commentary on the functions of the different parts of the machines. Nice job man. Granulator and sluice is great to get every last drop of copper. Funny af with all the full cans you dropped in the granulator. Gotta have fun in the shop. Really enjoyed it.

If you have a "need" for the granulator I'd probably buy the replaceable blade style cutter. Your worth a few hundred an hour easy. If you figured many hours it's going to take to do it yourself it's probably cheaper to buy. Is it tin coated steel or tin coated copper? If copper it can be your future bars. Brass handle for the stripper stop handle.
@ProjectShopFl
@ProjectShopFl 2 года назад
It it the tin coated copper, Mainly cot to watch out for communication cable. some have a type of foil, some have a tin or silver coated ground, and some have a sticky substance in them. All will down grade to a $2 chops price. I like the Idea of making handle out of copper or brass
@6980869
@6980869 2 года назад
So, do u take the granulated copper to the scrapyard? If so, what grade is that? Do they not have issues with not being able to verify its source? Do they have an analyzer? Thanks for sharing. Aloha

you should rig your cutters on the unit itself chop and it falls in plus maybe could use a dremel to sand and deburr the blades idk
@ProjectShopFl
@ProjectShopFl 2 года назад
That is a great Idea to put the cutters on the machine. I have most of the parts to make a automatic pre shredder. I have a air grinder I use to sharpen the blades. It needs a going through so I'm going to take it apart and sharpen them out of the machine.

The granulator and sluicing process seems too slow to be profitable. Definitely looks like it would be fun to play with though. Keep up the good work.

Personal Opinion: Slow down RPM on the granulator, gear reducer would likely do the trick on the torque also.
