Where does the term gliosis fit in then in this temporal evolution? Encephalomalacia would be when the infarcted brain is CSF density with volume loss yes? And does hemorrhagic transformation still happen at chronic stage? Thanks.

Gliosis refers to the area of brain that is atrophied but encephalomalacia could be undeestood as an area where the brain tissue has been liquified and replaced by CSF.

After M.R.I. my doctor said I had this condition in a small part of my brain. He said many people have this but never know at it may have accrued at any time in people's lives. He also said it's not a stroke.. should I be concerned? I'm in my 60s. Many thanks
