Join me on a short Sunday morning #stroll through some of the hidden squares just off Zurich's Bahnhofstrasse as we stroll from Paradeplatz to Stadthausquai.
We start our stroll on the corner of Bahnhofstrasse and Poststrasse, looking across Paradeplatz towards the Credit Suisse headquaters.
Turning around, we stroll along Poststrasse, until on our right we see a covered entryway between the buildings. Turning right into the entryway, we stroll through it and enter Zentralhof. This peaceful square is lined on all sides with building and has an ornate fountain in the centre, which is surrounded by flower borders.
Crossing the square, we leave by another covered passageway on the opposite side and find ourselves on Kappelergasse. After crossing the road and strolling through another entryway, we find ourselves in another tranquil square, Kappelerhof. Like Zentralhof, Kappelerhof is lined on all sides by the buildings, but this time the centre forms a quiet park area with benches and the tables and chairs of one of the local restaurants.
After crossing the square and exiting though the opposite passageway, we emerge onto Börsenstrasse, with the impressive building of the Swiss National Bank (Schweizerische Nationalbank (SNB)) in front of us.
Turning left, we stroll along Börsenstrasse, crossing Fraumünsterstrasse and continuing along Börsenstrasse until we reach Stadthausquai.
After crossing the road, we finish our stroll on Stadhausquai, next to Frauenbad (the women's swimming pool), looking across the Limmat towards Grossmünster in the distance.
