Strong 275 Full Zip Review, Best Setup To Layer 

I have a 280 (just Discontinued for the 275 this year). I'm from western pa where it gets cold and windy. We see 32 and rain. 10 and calm, 20 and snow, and 45 and sunny all in a 2 week period. I recommend getting the wool shirt you have, but a solid color in shor sleeve so you can use it more than just hunting. I throw on the 280 over that. The 280 does breathe 100%. I've used the 280 with a cheaper kryptek rain jacket and ended up wet. The raincoat held outbthe water, but the wetness was between the 280 and the coat. It pulled the sweat away from my body. I got a kutana rain jacket from kuiu and ir solved my problem because it would breathe as well. That sparked me to get the keni jacket. It is light insulation and breathes big time. The keni will NOT stop wind. I use the kutana for that over the keni. This setup is good for walking at low 20s, and sitting low 30s. If you want to lower it, i found an ultra down vest on clearance because of a discontinued color. That under the keni is super nice, but the down will not breathe on the move, remember to pack it and put it on when you get there. Then I found the down coat ares I think on kryptek. Again it was a discontinued color (typhon). 160 bucks. It's not as warm as the super down pro from kuiu, but is warmer than the ultra. If I put the ultra vest or keni under that coat, I'm good to 0. We have late season here and we always get 2 weeks below 0 at night and single digits for the high. Plus windchill.

Oh gloves. Nov has the best sale. I think it's over now but they're going to have another one. The guide x glove is nice for fall or spring barn chores. The leather is very durable and water proof. Now the seems aren't sealed, so its more for grabbing wet things and more wind proof than the strong fleese gloves.

Is it really worth the cost? Looking at getting the 275, but it just seems so expensive for a hoodie, pretty much akin to buying designer clothes.
