Good movie about thalidomide. So many lives were destroyed by that drug that should never have been used.

I had the opportunity to work with a physician in physical medicine in 2005 who prescribed thalidomide through special project for migraine headaches and myalgias. The patient had to sign many permits to take it and could not get pregnant. It did help her to control her pains. It was scary working with that drug after all the previous history.

The book was much better than this...less soap opera than this movie. Arthur Halley wrote great books.

Err, Alex Haley is American and wrote Roots. This and Wheels are by Arthur Hailey, who was British-Canadian.

This used to be shown on TV as a miniseries in the 90s. I have been looking for it. I remember loving the movie and watching it again now brings back old memories. Thank you very much!
