21:14 - That is Rosita! She's a Mexican monster and first appeared on Sesame Street in 1991 (WAY after my time... I was a senior in high school). 21:22 - That is indeed Zoe! 26:31 - The box of Wheaties was for Maryland, the athlete on the box is Cal Ripken Jr, who played his entire career with the Baltimore Orioles and holds the record for most consecutive games played in MLB at 2,632 (previous record holder was Lou Gehrig with 2,130 - Ripken surpassed that record on September 6, 1995).
Hey! Im from there! You can go to Rochester museum and Science center too! You can also go to the abandoned subway, Village Gate, Highfalls, Susan B anthony house, the grave of Frederick Douglass and Susan B anthony and much more!
I was actually there while you were filming (can be seen around the 41:20 mark). Thanks for stopping by my home town, glad the RU-vid spirit is still alive here.
This is a place for the inner child in all adults and for all kids, of course. You definitely had your inner child working for you. Great museum. I did the beany baby collection for a while.
36:56 my friend had mouse trap but instead of letting the trap operate on its own at the end he did everything manually which ruined the fun. My brother had a very disappointed look as did I
You know it's crazy. My dad's cousin lives in Rochester. I actually grew up in the city. Then again I used to visit a lot when I was a kid. We used to travel all the time from Toronto, Canada
If you go first in tic tac toe you can guarantee a win. Just put your first three marks in the corners. You will have two options to win diagonal and one on the edge. Your opponent can only block one. This only works if you go first.
Omg!! You were in my neck of the woods! I have brought my son there numerous times when he was a young boy. Wow! It has changed quite a bit. Come back in the summer and visit Sea Breeze amusement park. It's not large but a lot of fun. Sadly no dark rides. They have been long gone. We also have a nice zoo. Seneca Park Zoo. Again, fantastic video!
@@brrrrharrr Niagara is pronounced with 4 syllables , not 3. I was a Niagara Falls Tour Director- it is a regional “ thing” to pronounce it with 3 syllables, depending on where you grew up! Good job accepting new info, buddy!
OMG I DIDNT KNOW U WERE THERE!! I LOVE GOING THERE! But don't go to the science museum since there are not many things happening right now but omg I cant belive you went here
I can’t tell you how happy it made me to see you find the Billiken. It only got better when I saw the Crissy doll in the display next to the big-eyed homeless child doll. I think I squeaked with happiness.
@@jeffeckrich2637 For records and CDs, absolutely, I shop at the Archive a ton for my collection. But the HOG has so many musical artifacts that it practically doubles as a museum!
Really enjoyed tonight video and how many of you noticed the seven dwarfs spoons were soup spoons and the soup scene was deleted from the original film.
I’m old enough to remember that you needed a real potato to use Mr Potato. This looks like a fun place. I’m on Long Island. That looks like a fun trip with my grandchildren. I loved Mousetrap. That game was missing the diver. My first video setup was the Atari 2600. Destroyed my hand with that joystick.
This is near me and now we have a smaller version downtown near our waterfront here in Western NY . This was neat, never been to it or Rochester but was a great vlog .
Glad you checked this out! I remember recommending it a long while ago haha. If you're still in the area I'd check out the Science Museum and The George Eastman House
Being a HUGE Tomb Raider fan, I never ever saw Lara Croft as sexual, she dressed the way she wanted to, did things according to her goal and was always one step ahead everyone and everything. She was such a HUGE role model for me growing up, her fearlessness and play to win attitude did wonders for my childhood!
One of my favorite museums in WNY! While I'm not sure if it's your thing, the Eastman house, also in Rochester, is full of spring flowers right now and is gorgeous! (You're also not too far off from Corning and the Museum of glass!)
Nothing has ever made me feel older than seeing my copy of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone behind glass in a museum… lol 😂 Well, not my exact copy but the same edition.
I’m a local in the WNY area and I’m used to the Museum of Play. Most people in the area have gone at least once in their lives. But I always love it when people get shocked about a museum dedicated to toys and play
31:20 I'm surprised that glass isn't smashed weekly by livid Star Wars fans, unable to restrain their apocalyptic frustration in seeing an ewok riding a dewback... (yes, feel free to imagine Homer Simpson yelling "NEEEEEERD!!" from his car window).
In spite of the fact the 501st and R2D2 are frequent guests of the strong. Darth Vader has even visited. ( Cosplayers of course but don't tell the kids.)
11:02 Wow, that Wonder Woman is clearly modeled after Gal Gadot! It actually looks like her! I couldn't help but notice Jason Momoa's Aquaman action figure (lower right corner of that display). They have the old school blonde Aquaman comic book, though. I actually loved the Aquaman cartoons when I was a kid.
Your in my hometown!!! That museum has evolved since i was a kid.. it started out As only Margaret Woodburys dollhouse and dolls and other neat things she had collected over the years..and i am a little upset they took that element out...but at least i had the privilege of getting to see and remember it!!! Cuz it was a marvel!! I hope they bring it back one day
What a great place! Time stamp 49:42. Next to the crying homeless Little Miss No-Name doll is the Chrissy Doll in the orange lace dress. Her hair could be shoulder length and by pressing a button on the back you could pull her hair longer. I still have her with her case and wardrobe! I am 60 years old.
It's a great museum and the jiggle is super catchy! I used to go there all the time in when I went to college in Rochester. The had college nights every once and a while and it was hilarious watching 20 somethings shop in the mini Wegmans! The museum also has an exhibit at the ROC airport with a bunch of free classic games like street fighter, and pac-man. There's also a giant game of pong there too.
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂😂😂when you were climbing “up the building” by dragging your feet! That was so funny! I just watched a 60’s batman episode tonight and they are always the best!
Been waiting for you to stop by my hometown! Hope you had a blast! This is right up your alley! Come back in the spring and visit Sea Breeze amusement park!! It's pretty historical.
On the state maps.. the state you weren't sure of, was Maryland!😄 >it was a box of Wheaties, with Cal Ripkin Jr on on it, (for Baltimore) and it's also my state I was born and reside! 😊
Jacob there were a total of 7 spoons they're not 6 to 8 spoons they're were 3 Spoons on the right 3 Spoons on the left and 1 spoon in the middle. Which would make 7 spoons
NO WAY! THIS IS MY HOME TOWN. I LIVE IN ROCHESTER! I had no idea you were even here! I hope you enjoyed the strong museum! Seneca Park Zoo is also a place you should check out while upstate!
Oswald is my fav Disney character and I also played the heck out of both games, esp since you had to replay to get multiple pins and get different parts of story depending on using the Ink or thinner. I also had the special Wii nunchuck that had paint brush attachment. Hope Albany is on your next stop.
Thanks a lot. Enjoyed the video and museum. However, what I see is the massive thematic display with the "nostalgia items" , very suitable for adults born in 70-s, 80-s, 90-s , cause they had and loved these toys, probably interconnected with some deep memories. The modern kid will go through it, constantly looking at his/her phone and will see in all of these only old toys, that even not possible to touch / play with.
Hello Jacob your just a Stone thow away from me in Niagara Falls. I hope that you're coming my way. Great Video Thank you for sharing your Awesome Adventure
Funny story I'm watching this video on a Nintendo Switch 🤣. But I saw my childhood in this video and look forward to visiting this site on my road trip.
Jacob you wouldn't necessarily have to use a quarter you could use a dime nickel or Penny as well. They would technically have the same effects of the quarter would.
