The Strongback Elite Folding Camp Chair with Lumbar Support is one of our favorite items for our life on the road. We love that it’s portable enough to also carry to neighbor's campsites or throw in the car for picnics or visiting friends. Haha just wait until you sit in it - ever single person we share ours with sits in it - we watch their face and look of surprise and laugh as they ALWAYS say "ohhh!" realizing what a HUGE difference it makes. I think just about everyone who has sat in ours has gone and bought one! Your back and neck will thank you :)

Yes it's funny watching people sit in ours... almost all of them sit in it and say "ahhhh" - it's amazing watching their expressions as they feel the difference! Spendy, but definitely worth the investment.

After watching your review and then doing a bit more online research, we bought two of these. It was a bit of a pricey gamble but now I am thrilled to finally have a folding chair I can sit in for more than 15 minutes.

HI Allen, yes they do initially seem pricey compared to most chairs but you can easily relax and sit in the Strongback comfortably for hours on end and feel no pain. Took us a while to pull the trigger too because of the price but we are so glad we did - and just wish we HAD bought it sooner... Enjoy!

I have alot of back issues too and know how important it is to have a good chair. I have had a hard time finding a chair that is comfortable and folds up. Thanks for the great review. I will be looking into buying this chair.

We received the first of the 2-chairs we ordered through your link and wow what a difference from our current, soon to be previous chairs and others we have had or used. Your review was spot on, so thank you for the great review.. As we are preparing to go fulltime at the end of this year and have sold most of our furnishings we are using our camp chairs for TV watching, reading etc. So now we are fighting over who gets to use the one we have received, so hopefully the other will arrive soon LOL!

thanks for the 411, after reading the reviews i just ordered mine, yes a little pricey but a whole lot cheaper than a visit to the chiropractor! we rv for months at a time and i sit outside a lot and have to rotate between 3 chairs to keep comfortable, hopefully this will be my one go to chair. i'll let you know how it works out

Yep, it's not cheap! But if you ever get a chance to sit in one, you will realize it's so worth it - especially if you use it a lot like we do. A visit to the chiropractor and/or massage therapist to fix us up after sitting in crappy chairs costs more than the chair! :) Now you know what to ask Santa for at Christmas ;)

Yes it fits in our RV easily - much easier than our other Zero Gravity chairs actually which are much bulkier and heavier (those are for visitors LOL) we put it in the MINI when driving somewhere and we want to take it

Marc, the chair looks nice. I am interested in what Julie's opinion is on the chair. I find that being short does mean some chairs are not as comfortable as they are for a "normal" sized person.

Good question Mike! Julie here - Yes actually I am 4'8" and so chairs don't alway fit me as well as "normal" sized people :) I really like how comfortable the Strongback chair is BUT my feet don't touch the ground and the seat is a bit to deep so the fabric scrunches where my knees bend. I have actually been in contact with the manufacturer who advised they are already working on a chair for kids/smaller adults which will be coming out in the late summer. So we sold my chair to a friend and I decided to wait for the smaller one that fits me better. Reason why I/we didn't mention it in the video is because so few people are as vertically challenged as me we didn't think it relevant enough to mention, especially as a smaller version is coming out late summer. But now that you have asked (someone else did too) in hindsight we should have at least mentioned it from my perspective. When the smaller chair comes out, maybe I'll do another review and report on that. I'm looking forward to getting that! For now, I think the Strongback Elite would probably be fine for people 5' and over. Hope that helps :)

Unfortunately, Marks Work Warehouse hasn't carried them for a cpl years. I bought 1 there a few yrs ago. Didn't buy two because they were too expensive to trust my 1 minute test-sit. Turns out the comfort is beyond compare to other foldable chairs. Now we need another, and the mail order price is double what I paid.

Good review. I'm almost 6'4". Do you think this chair would be a good fit for a tall guy? I find that a I am outside the ergonomic manufacturing parameters of a lot of stuff.

Hmmm to be honest I don't know, but you can always order via Amazon (which is what we did) and if you don't like it return it - just check the returns policy first. You could check the manufacturer website and see if they are in any stores near you.

This chair design looks great ! But reviews on Amazon point out poor / weak build quality. ( I don’t buy any product that has more than 3% one star reviews. ) I bought the Alps Mountaineering King Kong chair. Link: a.co/d/2GNECmr I suspect it’s design may not be as comfortable as the Strongback, but it will last much longer. Too bad, I would have liked the comfort and back support of the Strongback - but the high failure rate makes it a no go. ✌️

We can only share based on our own experience which has been excellent. No quality issues here. Comfort, ergonomics and lumbar support are very important to us. Keep in perspective it 3% are unhappy then 97% are happy. And you you aren't, you could probably return it. Good luck!

Sounds bad. In the way that it's saggy where your arse is you can't have that that is very uncomfortableand it cuts off the circulation to your legs after some time
