A moment of Silence for all the Tarnished who entered the Land of Shadow only to get bamboozled three minutes in by this hellspawn after walking down the hill
Ornstein & Smough who were the hardest bosses in DkS1 wouldn't even be fit to be a trash mob in Shadow of the Erdtree. That's how insane regular enemies have gotten. Those Curseblades, Fire Knights, and Horned Warriors would be hard as fuck bosses in most games.
To be fair DS1 has super clunky movement, dodging feels super awkward and you can't move while you drink estus. Not to mention how you have crouching and crouching attacks, faster stamina recovery, jumping and jumping attacks and Torrent, with double jump and dismounting i-frames. Also dlc bosses like Artorias, Manus, Kalameet and even Sanctuary Guardian were harder than O&S
@@cowhale2488 I wouldn’t say any of the DLC bosses is harder than O&S. They’re all quite straightforward if you get a good shield and weapon which is the most common playstyle in Dark Souls. O&S is a different beast because you got two of them and Ornstein can straight up circle around you and stab you in the back. They actually require a strategy unlike the DLC bosses. I would say the DLC bosses are harder than any base game boss other than O&S who force the player to devise a strategy to win. Torrent also isn’t usable in most boss fights so not sure why you bring him up. All you gained that is effective in a fight is dual-wielding and jumping while the bosses got a million things.
@@oktusprime3637 Strategy is more important in Elden Ring, I don't know what you are talking about. I would even argue O&S is even cheaper because the only thing that make them hard is that there are two of them and Ornstein can straight up dash from the other end of the arena and stab you in the back
Faith builds pretty much invalidate the threat of revenants with heal incantations. These fuckers are an absolute menace in close combat though... I was only able to beat the one in Enir-Ilim because it yeeted itself off the stairs
I'd say these guys are worst- you arrive at the land of shadow all high and mighty as THE elden lord or close to being so, just to be humbled by a single field enemy. The revenant is dangerous mostly when you're new to the game. or you're fighting multiple enemies.
Notice how it is much more aggresive against Gideon- it's AI just isn't designed to fight anything but Tarnished., that's why it also kinda suck as a summon.
These guys for me are literally the ninjas of sekiro, I just wanted to understand why their arms are so short, they skipped the day with their arms at the gym?
What is up with from software's obsession of making the normal enemies into bosses? Don't get me wrong I like elden ring, but one of my major complaints about this game is the "normal enemy bosses" for example like: soldier of godrick, beastman of farum azula, stone digger troll, chief bloodfiend etc. I just don't see what the fuck is the point of me fighting against them as bosses, if I'm gonna fight them as a normal enemies later in the game or if it's in this guy's case even before fighting him as a boss, in my opinion this "bosses" is just a waste of time
Open world encounters are more forgiving because you have the ability to leave, replenish flasks, take any space you want, etc. Bosses who are contained at the end of a dungeon encounter where you're on limited supplies mean that the constraints & arena also make the situation itself more difficult - and so a difficult enemy is fine as a boss. Additionally, something that used to be a boss but is just a regular enemy somewhere else is an example of region-specific progression one the environment itself becoming more difficult, like Farum Azula having Beastmen everywhere where the ones who fell to Limgrave were as strong as bosses proportionally. Lastly, you only ever fight normal Trolls elsewhere, and the Stonedigger Troll is specific to that dungeon.
@@PierceArner to be honest I was never a fan of dungeons not even in Bloodborne and I don't like the fact that elden ring is an open world game that has so many reskined bosses, and that it's in general is a very long game which I'm also not really a fan of
Would you be happier if they remove the boss health bar? It's just an enemy, who cares whether theres a healthbar at the bottom of the screen or not. Every boss is just a particularly complex enemy, they're all just mobs. Does Crucible Knight become a bad fight when the health bar goes away? No
A "small" opinion: I think that in these types of "boss vs all the bosses" videos they are poorly done because you can't make them fight a boss with another who does not have the same amount of life/resistance and damage, it is not a "fair" combat. Example: you cannot compare a boss or npc (referring to the "npc vs all bosses" videos) who has 1000 health/stamina and 500 damage against another boss who has 500 health/stamina.resistance and 250 damage, That's why I think that both should have the same level of life/resistance and damage. I repeat, this is my opinion. Postscript: Can you imagine a mod where bosses can wear deflecting hardtear and curved sword talisman? It would be amazing.
The whole point is to showcase how much stronger these things are compared to the enemies it goes up against. No. They SHOULDN'T have equal stats. That's not the point.
@@pinkvillafantasy Curseblades are much better, you can actually learn how to fight these guys after a few tries, but those Lion head divine warriors are so freaking annoying, they spam their aoe around that do so much damage.
