Simon Bradbury, Lead Designer on Stronghold Crusader 2 introduces players to the wealthy Shah. One of the easier opponents in the game, the Shah likes his home comforts more than he does attacking other players. On the other hand his supplies of gold and other resources are plentiful, making him an excellent ally when you need a bit of extra money. The Shah will be one of eight different AI characters featured in the game at launch, each with their own castle, tactics, defences and favourite troops.
Stronghold Crusader 2 the sequel to fan-favourite medieval RTS Stronghold Crusader, which has sold over two million copies to date. Crusader 2 is currently being developed independently by Firefly Studios, who plan to release the game in 2014.

How could you do so badly, you look at stronghold,crusader, 2, legends, there animations, screensavers all beautifully and concisely looked.

We need a really good AI opponent. In the original SHC,we didn't really had that one AI that could make your life a living hell,building a great fortress while constantly showering you with really strong waves of attacks. Also,another problem is the fact that the sieges are constantly the same - they don't become stronger over time.I think this would make the game much more challenging. Do that,add some new AI's,along with the original warchest ones - result game of the year. Good luck Firefly!!

I really wish they would release difficulty meters. If we picked hard the shah would at least have a decent castle a bigger army.

this game looks awesome with all the new features and enemys to fight but so far all the animations and character designs look like total garbage from early 2000's

Shah is a Persian (Iranian) word and means King. I don't know why they choose Shah name for this character :/

If you ask me they just took that art style so they dont have to take a shit ton of effort in the graphics and waht not..i mena its still work but yeah i hope you get my drift

Exactly! Where is the graphic from the legendary games like Stronghold/Stronghold Crusader? I mean, the previous games with an 3D-engine were not so good, the only one simply said, wich was a good game with 3D-graphics is probably stronghold legends!

Please include a sort of a Fog of War and make it so you can use custom hotkeys i played Stronghold since its release and although it is an amazing game. I always felt that it was very slow even SC(1). Hotkeys and an Option for Fog of War would make it more competitive and fun espacially as you aleready confirmed that you'll try to balance it, and i'm not only talking about (for example) G for Granary i mean stuff like you can train units by pressing a button when the baracks are clicked on!

Including easier enemies doesn't seem worth the effort. I think it'd be better if there were instead harder enemies that each had their own trait that made them difficult to fight.

If you want harder enemies, just make 2000 - 8000 gold an give them a special place... than you would lose against only one :*

Design is ok but damn, animation is really bad. not that it needs much animation but those guys looked much better even in the first stronghold so I know you guys can do it

I hope you guys make bigger maps. It's not enjoying seeing on most of the map my buildings or the enemy's. I think that a castle with other buildings should occupy a small area of the map, the rest should be various beautiful landscapes.It would be nice to see for example on arab lands some cool 3d designed oasis surrounded by some grass and palm trees.
