Replaced v twin Honda with a predator about 12 years ago on a ditch witch trencher it has been used hard in rocky ground and held up change the oil an keep the air filter clean. I think you'll be very happy with your purchase.
That V Twin should be just the ticket for you! And, they typically have battery charging capability, to keep the battery up, power lights and so on. Very patient and careful work on this project! I'm looking forward to the rest of it!
It's a shame you didn't rebuild the 16HP OHV Tecumseh. Those are likely the best engines they ever built. The worst part about them was the carb and now you can use a Kohler $20 replacement carb on the Tecumseh, it's an easy swap. Love the Struck!
You did a very nice job on your crawler. When I first watched you and your boy loading it up, I thought wow, allot of work ahead, but you sure nocked it out.
Thank you, sir! I thought the same thing when I first saw it...in fact, I almost did buy it because of how much work it needed - but I'm glad I did. There is still a lot to be done, but we're getting there...
@@gardeningpreacher Yessir, you have a fine machine right there. I have one that looks a little different than yours, doesn't have the raised area on the hood or the backhoe attachment, only the dozer blade. Mine had a B&S 18hp horizontal 2 cylinder engine on it, not real dependable on steep grades, blew the B&S after about 3 months. I replaced it with a 20hp Kolher V-Twin engine, fit perfectly, only had to change the direction of the muffler. I removed the metal gas tanks and replaced them with plastic tanks designed for zero turn mower tanks. I see that the previous owner had problems with the track idler pins, mine doesn't have any bearings in the idler pins so I greased them about every hour to hour and a half, haven't had any problems with idler pins. Great job Sir! Really enjoyed the videos of your rebuild and refurbishing of your loader and backhoe. Look forward to seeing it in action.
Very cool build !! If you don't mind me asking how much did your pick it up for? Looks like it was interesting to her back home from your other videos. Looks like your son is loving it too.
