When looking for a created element that just received the message "Does not appear in this view", switching to Wireframe can be really useful Edit: hahaha, I should have watched it a little farther before commenting. (Would have been shocked if you didn't know that)

Hi, Balkan Architect thanks for the tutorial. Do you know how to hide the columns inside the walls for architectural plans? For some architecture plans, I prefer not to show structural elements and display a clean wall regardless of what is inside of it. But for Structural plans I want the columns to show, I tried joining them with a CMU wall and setting the same material. By tweaking the visibility graphics I set the walls to coarse level and I get to some clean joins but not all display the same I end up with some join lines of the columns on the architecture plans, I manage to fix it by setting everything to black on the cut fill. But I end up locked with only that option, I would rather have a gray fill instead, but the join lines still display.

thats so nice bro... anyway what is the best method to start the project? make the architectural model 1st? or the structural columns and framing?

My God, you're right, just checked it, you really have to join every single structural element to walls for correct material takeoff. The more I learn about Revit the more I wonder is it worth it. Sure you end up with a "free" 3D visualization, but there are so many things that make no sense. (Znaš ti koliko serklaža, greda i nadvoja ima u malo većem i kompleksnijem objektu, pa tko će to sve ovako pipkavo štimati, i joineati :D ). Is there any hack to maybe create a custom family that would host both the structural element and a void element, but would void just the walls? I don't know what the hell I'm talking about, I'm just shocked that Revit cant handle such basic task.

I have added columns in walls but can't see them in section box nor in plan. Seems the wall has absorbed the column. Please suggest

What is the way to create a structual drawing? Do i need to create directly on architectural drawing template o should i link architectural drawing to structural template? Thank you!
