Very interesting, never used architectural columns. Would be cool to see some practical uses for this. Only problem with this is that its considered a column, when it very helpful to have this element as a wall to. Have any people here ever used this feature?
So, in the professional practice, we use Arch Columns or Structural ones? or both? do architects put the arch column (as a placeholder) and then the engineers come with their Str columns? what about beams?? (i have been using walls as beams!) is this wrong?
question: you put the structural column inside the architectural column, does it mean that I can do that where it serves as the finish? if we have 200x400mm structural column then I will need to have a bigger architectural column?let say 25mm plastering then it would be additional 25mm bigger? let say all finish is just paint if I will not do that then how can i make the finish of the struct column same with the wall, just paint it?im not sure if I explain it correctly...for example there's wall I have one column (the wall is not continues because of the column between) then what should be the proper way of doing it?
Another difference is that Structural columns have an analytical model in it which we structural engineers use it for doing structural analysis and design.

Hello, Thank you for all videos Mr. BALKAN i like your tutorials. I am from Algeria and I started with you in revit from zero. I have some problems with beam: When i have beam under celling i use structural beam, but i don't know how to cover it with plaster of 1cm thikness. I tryed to place small wall of 1cm thickness an slab with 1cm in botom of beam, but it takes lot of time to do it. I didn't see some explaination for that. It is easy to do that on the ''exterior surfaces''. Let's say storey height of your project is 300 cm and height of beam is 40 cm. Just make sure the height of your wall is 300 cm(I mean it should equal to your storey height) and then join your wall to the beam and slab. In this way you can cover your beam and column with plaster or with other finish materials. But, just like you, I don't know how to cover interior face of the columns and beams with the plaster.

@@AussieBIMGuru I`m not sure about what you said. I think even with owing a license, you are not allowed to advertise on your youtube videos. I did not see any ads on your youtube videos by the way.
@@amirhosseinbaniasadi4106 I can't imagine the software producers mind - they make far more money by exposure than loss in potential ad revenue. I choose not to put ads on my channel as i find them annoying, as do most of my viewers I'm sure - it's a personal choice.
