100 days clean today. In a halfway house 4 hrs away from home & my daughter, but never felt so close to her. For the first time in a long time im loving myself again. Thanks struggle for the music, helped me through a lot of pain & grief.

This one hits close to home. I lost my health at a young age and was left to fight life threatening pain. I have been called an addict and drug seeker by friends family and docs during the opioid epidemic where pain patients were forgotten. I lost a job I loved due to my health and nearly everything these calloused hands have worked for. Ive often have wondered why but it’s just the road I’ve came. I can say without this journey that lead me back to God I wouldn’t be half the husband or father I am. I give thanks to the good Lord above. ✝️♿️💪🏼🦅🇺🇸

I shouldn’t be working at all according to docs but if Struggle, Jason (aka Jelly) Calhoun or any of my favorite artists could give me a job I’d be forever grateful. I put my application in with Upchurch in person but he didn’t give me the time of day despite pouring my heart out. I don’t care if I’m mailing merch or whatever I can do from home I just have bigger dreams than a measly disability check for my family.

Brother I have a similar story I work construction since I was 16 I’m 53 with a 80 year olds spine the way they treat people in chronic pain is a crime in my opinion . People don’t understand that these meds can be very helpful for people that have severe pain but they just paint everyone with a broad brush. Trust in God he’s got us .

This hits song hits hard. An I'm sober since the end of 2019... It was a horrible time... We found out he had cancer and he passed away in 2019 and my mom in 2021😢... . Music has always been my go to when I'm in a dark place.. and your music is therapeutic and thank you 😊

Congratulations on 17 years sober! I have 11 clean and sober myself. This song speaks directly to my soul. I couldn't help but cry. These guys will always be country rap artists to me. The singing era is just as good. My Pops(God rest his soul) was a Struggle fan big time he played Like Father, Like Son on repeat 😢. As an ex convict myself and alcoholic. Two failed relationships man I feel this song. I'm struggling but my only son just got accepted to a major university! So I did something right in my life. I'm an ex convict with a good heart ❤️ just trying to Dib what's right. I have severe depression and PTSD after so many years in prison in California but I still haven't given up. Some of us fathers are only alive because our children are. Dying is easy but living is hard but I don't give up. Never ! Thank you for this song brother

❤ this song. I can relate to everything he's saying in this song. I spent from 15-29 incarcerated. A few weeks ago on May 29th made 8 year's since I got released. I've since started a now thriving Harley shop, & dealership. Been with the same girl since I was free only 3 months. We now have 3 children, & recently purchased my first home. Meeting my girl, & starting a family changed my Life for the good. Otherwise I'd have probably been back inside the walls years ago.

Been following you since day 1, this song is now my #1, on my clean path for 5 yrs since May 7th of this year 2024, so sad my dad didn't ever get to see me change, he was so my life. He always wanted me to change my life for my kids unfortunately he got killed in a motorcycle accident july 3rd of 2018. A yr later I made sure I made a better path for my 3 kids . I grew up on Waylon & Willie. We even had a velvet-like painting of them in our livingroom. I wish I still had that. But I love you, Man!! This song is beautiful and definitely touches my heart!!
