Chris, harvest pots when ready then dig off topsoil, then dig out a further 2 foot and dump. Then put your topsoil back in hole and get a couple of 8 wheeler loads of good topsoil chucked back on top. Then just layer 8 inch cowshit on top and leave til next spring. Turn it over when dry period March/April, plant May. Best of luck pal

Bumble bees are harmless, think ginger when you see a bee/wasp if it looks ginger, its a bee. If it looks radioactive yellow swat the fecker, they are hateful wee beasts 😂😂 And before anyone yaps about the ginger bit, im ulster/scots. Currently sporting a lovely shade of pink all over with all that warm weather we just had 😂😂😂😂 I'll still be like a milk bottle when it peels!

Mornin Chrissie, just seen your Bee or not to Bee video, great, I used to keep just over 300 hives of bee's on a commercial basis, if I can give you any advice on this subject I will be more than pleased. The bait hive you have put down is okay but you might have to wait eons before a swarm may decide to grace you with their presence, please get yourself a nucleolus hive, (a laying queen and 4 frames covered in bees), you'll be good to go then.

Great to see kids participating. I recall we did this as kids in the early 70's and at school.. Todays kids are far too buisy on xbox or on playstation scoffing there hearts up and putting on weight.

Next year Chris you wanna take some dead soil off get and Dave and stevie to drop you some top soil off, mix it’s with some manure and composts your crops will be nice mush plus rotating your potato stops disease build up in soil. Great show old chap 👍

Bees love oil seed rape but bee keepers do not - it solidifies in the super frames making it tricky to extract - membership to a local club will include insurance, and a defra inspection for notifiable diseases - stay safe
