Yes you need to use the taps that have micro switches that are connected to the pump to power off the pump from the caravan. Use the taps! I know its wastefully, but that's how they worked way back then. They use pressure valves now.

You need a flow switch and a relay to switch the pump. There usually fitted to shower pumps. But available from E-bay 😀

with your 12v pump there is the power to the pump and there are micro switches in the taps. So you turn the pump on, then the switches in the taps tell it when to start and stop.

My caravan has microswitch on taps. Hot water come for water heater which has built in tank and your blue tank your using is an aqua roll which is like external tank mate. Jeep up the good work tho buddy 👌

That’s what you call a mixing tap to determine which hot or cold and also activates the pump

If you had only one pressure switch in the line, when the barrel runs dry and the pressure in the line drops the pump would run continuously and burn out, they put the micro switches on the taps to protect the pump

Chris Amazon have a good deal on a shurflow pump with built in pressure switch and inline filter. Youl need to buy a vaccum cylinder aswel they have a tyre air nozzle and you put 20psi in it

The problem with pressure switch on the pipe line when the water runs out the pump will continue to run and burn out, another reason why they fit micro switches on the taps, also what if there’s a leak that keeps pumping out inside because pressure is low? Have to say love when you videos come on, watched every one of your videos, I’m a mobile mechanic that’s gone in to my own garage with mot bay plus other ramps now but my god I know the struggle and love your channel keep struggling on 👍🏼

Mate for about 50 quid on ebay or amazon u can bye battery rechargeable shower u just drop ina warm bucket of water they're decent pressure and last a couple weeks n can also get USB rechargeable tap for about 12 quid so don't need wires to tap litterly jst a water source they also last couple weeks I live full time ina van haha

Chris, I work on campers and motorhomes daily with my own struggle bus. There are two types of pump, one cuts off at 30psi and the type you have requires taps with microswitches to turn the pump on.. Shout if you need any info.

The skylights need to be facing the right way Chris , open to the rear, then the wind keeps them closed when driving normally , they won’t flip up….👍😉🇮🇲. Ps please tell me that’s how you have done them…lol 😉😳🇮🇲

All the water appliances in caravans have micro switches to conserve the water tank. If you just want pump control then need a larger tank! Get some cheap solar on the roof. It looks large enough for keeping batteries charged.

I don't think you can use 240v shower most site only supply 16amp max. 240v x16 = 3.8 kW approx max, it will keep tripping.
