Practice with limitation your improvisation! This is the whole idea behind "Variation Lab", my online course in 4 volumes.
This core concept will open up so many possibilities for you, and allow you to quickly learn improvisation. For without limitation how can we create?? There is simply too many options and we can get lost! Add a little limitation (a set of pre chosen rules) and we add focus, clarity and tools to grow. As soon as we connect those limitations the possibilities, and freedom rushes in, controlled and refined through practice. .

I wanted to create a course that took four basic jazz steps and show how much is there in just one step. One step is already a little choreography. It has it's form and time and we can look into it closer, zoom in those steps and explore the possibilities! .
We so often think we need more and more steps to dance interestingly and to improve as solo dancers. We just have to connect deeper and unlock the creative potential of each single step. Depth in life is what we want. Depth in each step, each movement
Variation LAB is a course in 4 volumes.
Volume 1 is dedicated to the great jazz dance move - Cross Step. I present you one of the 14 variations: "Variation 4: Skip"
