This was the song my late husband and I danced to on our wedding day at our reception in June of 1992 ❤️ We shared our first dance as Husband and Wife to this beautiful song. He chose this song for us. We were Blessed to go on and have a very beautiful, healthy baby girl 🩷 I lost this wonderful man, my husband, in November of 1994. He was only 25 years old, as was I. Our baby girl was just 21 months old when she lost her Daddy. Our daughter has her Daddy's eyes, so I have the awesome privilege of seeing him EVERY DAY in her and it still takes my breath away each time ❤️ There's not one day that has gone by that I haven't thought of him, even after all of these years. Our son loved Stryper in the 80s. He had a levi jacket with Stryer patches on it. I had to sew them on. He passed 2yrs ago. I thought i would learn more about their music. My eyes are so full of tears i barely can type. Please remember me & my family in your prayers. My life has been shattered. I have missed him so much today. This is why i looked up their music.

My thoughts are with you and your family, I was just a kid when I heard Striper. I fell in love with Mikes voice and loved the fact the where Christian band, my parents contested me listening to them because we where solidly Baptist early on. But over the years they softened and stripers soothing message laced lyrics helped me through many stages of my early youth. Please know the almighty hears your cries and knows your hurts, he knows how much you miss your son. My eyes fill with tears writing this because I remember all my losses as a child, family friends. Know Jesus has you in his mind and is the rock of your salvation and the way maker with your dreams. I’ve met Mike a few times and he recognizes me when we pass in town, what a solid kind man, remember Jesus has your heart in his hands and is your comfort in the storm, I don’t know why I felt moved to write that but hope it touches someone.

Wow does this bring back great memories . Being a teenager and going to their concert in Nashville TN. They threw out little Stryper old testaments into the crowd and my buddy caught one. What a great time to grow up in the 80s.
JGil. Musica Saw them in 1984 3 or 4 times just after I became a Christian. I was 16 years old. Bought everything from them as it came out. Took my 22 year old daughter and 9 year old son to see em in Laughlin. They Rocked!! I’m 52 now and still listening

Robert Sweet has been an influence on my drumming and showmanship for decades and this video was one of the videos that made it that way. His personality, showmanship and outright drumming talent are so well portrayed in this video. This video helped mold my drumming style.

Although I'm not married,I totally agree.Personally I think this song's attraction is that it can be interpreted as a love between two people as well as God's love for us and vice versa very much in the same vein as my favourite Stryper song, Always There For You.

1986 Funnest concert I've ever been to by far. Everyone was on their feet and to the front, so positive and entergetic and it was so loud. This song was the best. The only difference was the outfits were brighter and they had makeup.

This is my best Styper Story: When I was a Freshman in High School this was Mukwonago High School's prom song and that Spring I had gotten the sheet music from my piano teacher- I think it was Hal Leonard. I learned it. The spring recital was held at Carroll College in Waukesha, WI and I got to play with 10-15 other kids a few pieces for piano. All the other kids and their families were playing classical and baroque pieces and snooty parents were looking at the little tract that was passed out and were wondering who this M. Sweet was. I remember the lady sitting in the pew next to us whispering to her husband about this and I was wondering what planet she was on as the local radio had played the song over and over and boy I got to dance a few slow dances to this one. Once I started playing it became like a familiar reveal as the #23 top 100 hit rang out in that room and everyone suddenly knew who it was. Stryper. Thank you for the continued inspiration.
