Mads, Thank You for your splendid videos. I like how you unselfishly share your locations and give detailed instructions how to to get to them. I'm very impressed with your unselfish, helpful ways for others to see the beautiful places you travel to. Very Professional.
This Mads is one of my favourites of your series . You are world class ! 👏👏👆🏼👌🏻 such stunning compositions ! You are now my favourite landscape photographer .. I have been following you since your earlier days on RU-vid when you were using a Canon camera ! Simply exquisite work !
Every time I watch one of your videos there are 2 things that go through my mind. Firstly WOW WOW WOW and secondly I want to go there!!! Thank you so much for sharing such beautiful locations and amazing pictures.
Watching your videos is going to cost me a fortune. First the Faroe Islands now Iceland... From the east cost of the USA neither is an inexpensive proposition. Well done and thanks.
The drone certainly comes in handy when treacherous terrain makes for sketchy hiking conditions. The drone footage here is fantastic, as are the images you came away with.
That Forrest of trees behind the Basalt wall to the left along the river of water captured with your amazing drone footage!!! U N B E L I V A B L E ! The land that time forgot...pristine rugged ...words fail me! As always thank you for sharing your incredible travels!
We just came back from Iceland and used your map to travel around the whole island. Thank you so much! It was definitely worth it!! Great video, great photos and beautiful location!
I live aprox 40 minutes away from Stuðlagil and i have never been there. Maybe some day i will take a look at it. Love your videos and your approach to shoot our nature.
@@MadsPeterIversen ohh i do. But avoid the tourist traps. I know my back yard very well. :) i shoot film and well... just have another approach to my photography. You are one of few digital shooters that i follow because you are entertaining, talented, an insperation and looks like you have a real respect for our nature. :) you can check me out at instagram.com/koxinn
Well, this video is a little frustrating. Had I watched it two days ago I would have been able and more than willing to change my plans and drive the couple of hours from where we’re staying in Laugar to see this beautiful place. As it is, I’m out of time, and need to head back to Reykjavik today. Ah well, maybe next time. Thanks Mads, great video, and like your choice of shots.
Useful to see the information of what it's actually like to get there. Very helpful for planning and knowing how long it'll actually take at some of these spots.
I was at Studlagil Canyon during my second trip to Iceland in June. It was one of my favorite places to visit. We were fortunate enough to have the canyon pretty much to ourselves. The water was a wonderful turquoise blue. Thank you for the wonderful video.
Summer is probably the best time to visit, hit that place up in June of this year and the water was crystal clear, you can also get down to the river level as it was really low meaning access was satisfactory, still slippy in places but do able
Amazing footage…. I have been there two weeks ago and if I would have watched this video, my shots would have been way better… I was able to walk down, but unfortunately-and overwhelmed by the scenery- I didn’t pay attention to the best photo spot. I was so happy that I was alone for about 2 minutes down there that I didn’t realise that I had been „too deep“ into the rocks to get the perfect shot. That said I only had 35mm fixed lense fullframe so this narrows the pictureframe also… but I couldn’t blame myself, it was an amazing and inspiring experience, the water was blue and the sun came out a little bit as I was down there…
Awesome video. I was in Iceland in June 2019 and I’m seriously regretting skipping this spot now that I know about the color change, because the next time I want to visit is in Fall. 😩 still worth it I’m sure but wish I caught the turquoise water when I had the chance. Oh well, live and learn...
Awesome, the drone shots were just amazing, thank you for the commentary, sadly I will never be able to visit such a stunning place so I will visit vicariously through videos such as this.
Absolutely awesome, you got some great shots there Mads, the waterfall was a fantastic bonus, stunning. It looks very dangerous neer the edge of the water, one slip and your gone....... thanks for the video and keep up the great work :)
Love this Iceland series. Heading to Iceland 🇮🇸 very soon to do a ring road trip and these vlogs have given me so many fantastic locations to visit. Thanks Mads 👍
This is beautiful, and you have treated it well. I will be traveling to Iceland in November and can’t wait to visit Stoksness and other sites on your map!
My husband and I visited here last year, but because we were losing light and I was unsure of exactly how long of a walk it would be we went to the viewpoint on the other side which you can drive up to and climb partially down from. Next time we go I'll feel a lot more comfortable because you've showed how to get there and what to expect! Thanks, and awesome video as always!
Really nice thought out edit my friend, that location looked incredible, I really liked the waterfall shot on the walk upto the causeway aswell. Very peaceful I can imagine that would be a great large print
Another great video Mads. I’ve not seen other pics from here but love your last one. The abstract ones are nice but wonder how it would look converted to monochrome.
Hi Mads, I have just watched your entire series on “Iceland Photography Guide” prior to a whistle stop tour this August 2021. It has to be the most concise series ever done on such a beautiful country. I am travelling with my daughter but only have 4 days and have picked out about 20 of the most iconic locations that I think we might be able to do in the time we have. The guide you have put together is not only incredibly useful but quite simply fabulous. Thank you for all the advice you give, it has helped me put together a plan of sorts and I hope we get to stand in similar places to take in the amazing beauty and of course get a few shots 👍📷🌋🏔🌄
Man I love your work and channel its inspiring for me since im a new one in this area. But I really like Fuji m43 and thinking of buying one maybe pro3 when its out. I really hope they can somehow get to your quility of pics for landscapes with their lenses. I know Sony full frames are probably much better but I love street photography as well and I live in Edinburgh which is good for this. I watched your videos from Scotland it was fun to see hehe I am from Poland btw. Cheers
Great job on the drone and pictures. Actually now in 2023 you do not have to cross the bridge and take a walk. You can continue driving straight on the unpaved road of and 5 Km later they have build a parking spot and a steel platform overlook over the canyon. Of course, you are now on the opposite bank of the canyon.
