This was not a good adaptation as far as books go but I was obsessed with this movie and soundtrack as a teen. and Stuart Townsend at this time, was and still is one of the most gorgeous men i have ever seen. seen many of his movies over the years and was always mesmerised by his charisma and his beautiful eyes!!
@@VuotoPneumaNN it's super cheesy and superficial and mid looking back at it now, but as a teen girl.. yeah I was all over it 😁 why are you watching old obscure interviews for a 20 year old movie that you don't even like tho?
@@mayaamis I was suggested this content because lately I've been watching a lot of videos related to the new IWTV show. I was mostly curious about what Townsend has to say about Lestat, compared to all the Jacob Anderson and Sam Reid interviews I've watched lately. To be honest tho, I feel a mildly similar attachment to this film as you do. I was 15 when it came out, and very much into the whole mall goth nu metal thing, while also an Anne Rice addict, so many elements of the soundtrack intrigued me. I remember not liking the movie very much even then, but I loved that Jon Davis was drawn in to do the songs, even tho his teen angst kinda lyrics don't feel at all like something Lestat would sing. I wish he kept the lyrics from the book.
@@VuotoPneumaNN early 2000 metal/goth was everything lol good times! and the soundtrack is epic and still slaps to this day. epic list of musicians on that soundtrack too. everything else.. the casting, the writing, the complete butchering of books and lore was embarrassing. and yeah I had a huge crush on Stu but he really has nothing interesting to say here because obviously he knows nothing about the books or Lestat, only the script he was given. which is valid I guess, since the script had little to do with books anyway.
Interesting! Please let us know if you make it! He's a sweet, adorable person. But something didn't go right in his career and it's a pity because besides his beauty he's a very good actor
@@aureaestelasantos3059 he has a Scorpio Mars and Venus, which makes so much sense with his Aries, as to why he’s so convincing as a vampire. It doesn’t say his rising sign on any websites so idk what his Mc is which would say a lot about his career and why it fizzled out the way it did.
Same. Saw the movie in theaters when I was 7 or 9 (just double checked, I was 5), and read the books at 12. I was obsessed with Lestat. I knew this movie didn't live up to the first, but I thought Stuart was a pretty good Lestat, and Akasha was awesome. And I hate admitting their Armand was more accurate. I like the Lestat in the new show, too, he actually has a French accent.
Im obsessed with this movie since the first time I had watched. That Lestat, the soundtrack, the vibe, the strange romance… I saw myself in Jesse when I was teenager. I have 3 books from Rice, and even it’s not the same story I still love Queen of the Damned so much.
I saw this in Hollywood when it can out at the g. Chinese theater hae still has got the sexist voice...I loved him in resurrection man and about Adam .his children are beautiful also.love you stuart ❤
Perfect Lestat 🖤😍 his voice, eyes and smile... as much as movie could be really better, looking at him I really saw Lestat, real Brat Prince, his weaknesses, his personality, but also his mesmerising attractiveness 🖤🖤🖤
Muito lindo ele era mais humano do que vampiro ainda bem que ele não ficou sozinho no final do filme conseguiu uma vampirinha igual a ele lindos casal que formaram no filme
@@MrsDuck356 It does'nt matter he can still play Lestat because to me it looks if he did'nt age to me he looks alike back then in Queen of the damned movie.
@Alexa Ferrer I haven't seen him recently but im pretty sure he'd look old, if they would make a new movie they have to do some cgi to make him look young just like they did in the cobra kai series with johnny
good-looking man with a sexy voice, what a crush, omg. I was too underage when queen of damned was released, I used to watch cartoons at that time😅 and now I'm catching up with worldwide love for this film, so, army of fans, meet the new recruit, I mean me, hehe
Yes, in the books Lestat was made by Magnus. But for some reason, the filmmakers had decided to leave Marius and a few vampires who were really important to the story out of the movie. But of course the movie is completely different from the book.
I just tattoo his name on My body love You ❤️ Stuart Townsend You Will always be the great Best Lestat De Lioncourt in My eyes hope to SEE You Again as Lestat!
🎵"Did you think it's cool to walk right up and takes my life, and f@@@ it up?🎵 That was Lestat (figuratively) expressing his anger towards Marius, for turning him into that monster.
I was obsessed with the soundtrack, still have original on CD😅 I loved Stuart as Lestat. Watch the interveiw where he describes singing on stage😂❤No wonder Charlize Theron dated him back then, I was always jealous of her, but they'd have made the most beautiful kids...
He based Lestat on what the writers gave him and not the books because they didn't follow them to a T. If he'd done that, he would have upset the writers and directors. Still an amazing movie given the inconsistencies.
In the books he was made by Magnus. This is Queen of the Damned, which did not follow Anne Rice's book to a T. He was created by Marius in the movie. So Stuart isn't wrong here.
Stuart Townsend Guest stars! Guest starring with Stuart Townsend as Lestat. Act 1 haos contestir Vol 1. Chapter 9. Lestat's back! "The world of saga Continues...!"
Love him ,but HATED THIS MOVIE ! 😡 they screwed this up .. point 1.. Lestat was not Made by Marius. There is a Long list of the many problems with this movie.
