I did not expect the ending to have me feeling the same way as the Last of Us had me. Like...yay for Stubbs but...I guess Andy's mom thought him so much of a pill...dang, daddio
Another fun fact, it is the *only* game other than Halo CE to run on the BLAM! Engine. IIRC it had something to do with the studio lead having worked on Halo, and due to some condition he had when working at Bungie meant he was allowed to use the engine for his own game studio. Shame this is Wideload's basically only "big" game; they made a lot of "old people puzzle game" type stuff and Stubbs and that's it.
Fun vid! If you are looking for something with less zombies try Serial Cleaner - still plenty of blood but also quite a challenging platinum. Or even a quirky game like Flame Over - saving people and cats from building fires what’s not to love? Look forward to your next video!
I spent a ton of hours on this as a kid. The fact that you could amass hordes that follow you around was super cool at the time. I wish there were more games like it.
Something that will come in handy when playing insane difficulty that not a lot of people realize; you don't *need* to eat someone's brain for them to become a zombie. They will always become a zombie if they die from a zombie in any way; so if you claw them to death (which is a lot faster), blow them up with gut grenades, etc. they'll zombify. It's great when you need to quickly build up a horde to soak up bullets and/or distract enemies without having enough safe time to eat them. Only if they die from friendly fire, bleeding out after losing an arm/being stunned too long without you finishing them off, getting hit by a car, getting shot from a mind-controlled guy's gun, etc. will they not zombify. On insane, you only eat brains to refill your abilities as needed. Most of the time you just wanna claw someone to death to quickly build up a horde.
Fun fact I found out as a kid you can jump over a human and there will be a prompt to press Triangle or Y if Xbox but it allows you to leap on them and eat their brain straight away Found that one out on the old Xbox Demo and still works great video love this game definitely needs more attention and a sequel.
@@dustinkissel7472 yeah is a shame such a cool concept maybe one day we will get a sequel that improves opon the original rather then becoming something completely different can only hope.
There’s a quicker way to get the Fast Zombies and Stubbs Otaku trophies. It’s a glitch in the game (i think it’s a glitch but they didn’t patch it) but in order to get the two trophies that I mentioned. Step 1. Complete the game. Step 2. go to level select. Step 3. Select the final mission (where you fight Andrew Monday and make sure you select Insane Difficulty) Step 4. Attack his shield when he is not looking at you. Step 5. Once you have one of the middle shield plates destroyed that’s surrounding him, go into it and attack Andrew (press square 3 or 4 times or spam the square button), and then the cutscene will play and you should get the two trophies. Btw, thank you making this video, i’ve always wanted a platinum video on Stubbs the zombie for quite some time and i’m glad you did. I also have the platinum trophy in this game because i thought it was best to earn the platinum in one of my favorite zombie games. Was it worth getting? Aside from 100%ing the dance battle, Yes. It’s absolutely worth it.
That’s actually a phenomenal tip, especially for anyone who may be struggling with this trophy! I didn’t even know about this but thank you for posting. It’ll be a massive help for others! Also no need to thank me at all! I absolutely adored this game as a kid, saw it on the store a few times and finally decided to buy it and play through it again and I’m so glad I did! I agree with you, the platinum definitely feels worth it and if it’s one of your favourite zombie games then you have to go for it! Glad you’re enjoying the content though mate!
I recall how this game initially had “made with the Halo Engine” on the box for the Xbox release, in reference to it being an ambitious reskin of the original Halo, vehicles + NPCs and all that! You start to believe them when you get to the Sod-O-M(obile) portion and it’s a bizarre hodgepodge of the Warthhog (entering for all pilots/co-pilots) and the Phantom (hovercar with sharp turning at middling speed; kinda slow at fast or crawling speed) lol This looked like a blast to play, so now I want to get it for my Xbox and go for that 1000 GS 😎
Yeah, I know the feeling on the dance one good that was so stressful, but I got it today, and it made me so happy. All I need to do is get Insane round, then I am done. With the dance one, I do think they should have just had four dances per round and not 8 on the last two because we all know the dance is just a pain. But I am happy you got the dance one finished.
When I first start grinding, getting to the bonus level is relatively easy. I don’t typically make a mistake until atleast round 4 (double beats) but I always make a mistake on the bonus round. This leads me to getting more and more frustrated and then for a good 20 minutes I would make mistakes on the easiest rounds until I got my focus back…of course that only lasts up until I get back to the bonus round and fail again
The dance battle isnt hard, neither is the bonus level. I just paused whenever Id be shown the first one and vice versa. Took me about 10 to 20 mins lol
