Love watching your videos Kirk. Great job explaining things. I am a licensed contractor in so cal and love picking up tips and tricks from you. Thanks for sharing your experience buddy!!!!
Hey Kirk, hope you are well mate. Been following you for years now and always love your work. We are in Melbourne Australia amd have the same problem with freeway tolls just to get to a job. These are all overheads many clients don’t understand when you give a quote. It all ads up especially when running a crew. Keep up the great work mate
Am usually more lighthearted and whimsical in my comments , but: To answer your question "What's up with that shit?" It's called bilking the people in order to fill the coffers of an ever-expanding government, made up of soft-handed politicians and bureaucrats that have never done a hard days work in their entire lives. Let's not forget that Government - like the Bureaucrats it employs - are equal to mosquitos: they cannot exist without sucking the life blood out of a more resourceful, industrious and hardworking creature, in this case, you and Jay and most everyone else on those roads. Good video. Godspeed!
I thought buckling stucco was a serious problem. I see it is not. It is actually reasonably easy to fix when I watch the expert. I wish I had seen this video last year, I passed up buying a rental property because of this very problem. If you are not educated on this type of thing, it appears like it is a serious foundation problem. Great video. Thanks, Kirk!!
Howdy, Folks type in, stucco services or contractors, guys like us appear. As far as bids, every job is a different animal. They may seem similar, but one may have easy access while a similar one has 15 steps, it' make a differences pushing a wheelbarrow of mud than carrying 40 five gallon buckets of mud to areas that need the stucco. Thus no such thing as that app.👨🏻🔬
I just did one of these, stucco cracks , comcrete moves and nothing last forever In so cal our houses arent as old nor do we get quite the shaking you do up north....
I had a similar situation and what I did was drilled a shallow countersink in the stucco then used a deck screw with a flat washer to "pull" the stucco back against the stud. Similar to how drywall is attached with countersink screws. After that, patched and painted. Sometimes what happens is the stucco mesh detaches from the studs due to years of expansion/contraction.
@@manuelquenga9886 No shit, corruption at its best. What politician sits up all night figuring how to further push it up so far up our tailpipes we can’t walk? 🕵🏼♀️
Ha ha ha Jason did most of work ,and i just come to glory...i like this sense of humor...only in constructions projects you can hear this kind of stuff
Move to Kansas, baby! It's all free except driving south from Kansas City to Wichita to Oklahoma. It's like 8-10 bucks. Depending on how many axles, maybe more. You would live like a king
I live in Martinez 😂 I absolutely know what you mean about that 'crap' lmfao. I honestly didn't realize you guys are as local as I thought. Btw I know where Alameda is....the town where, when you drive over 20 mph, you're bound to get pulled over.
Howdy Bill, freedoms just another word for nothing left to lose. So says Janis Joplin, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-c7CtqwyxHM0.htmlsi=MXFknti3MzDODUgs/ 👨🏻🔬
ive been doing alot of patches lately for the company i work for . i have a better understanding of how to do them the correct way , because some of these guys will show me some terrible ways to patch them . sometimes i feel like i have more knowledge than some old timers , because i follow your videos of how to lath
of course brother , i know you have went over alot of corner beads , corner aids , expansion joints in many of your videos over the years but have never seen you show how to string them or pull out expansion joints to the string . Is this just a union thing ive been taught ? im just curious im only about 3 years into lathing but learned fast. @@StuccoPlastering
I have a few areas on my home with serious buckling… is buckling ALWAYS just cosmetic? Or are there situations where it is potentially causing damage under. Also, is there such thing as a stucco skim coat if the previous guys texture wasn’t very good? Will stucco stick to a painted stucco surface? Thanks!!!!
Howdy, unfortunately buckling stucco isn't always cosmetic, sometime it can be serious foundation issues or many other things. We have perhaps 50 video on repairing locy patchwork on homes, in fact were going to repair about 15 tomorrow. New stucco will only adhere to painted surface if the existing surface is prepared properly.
@@StuccoPlastering Thank you! Unfortunately, I will be demoing the work that was done by some guys that I hired and will need to redo it all over again. 🙃
I am in Dublin and have the same problem but much worse and the paper seems non existent. Probably 25 feet long and seemingly 3 feet tall that needs replaced. Will you work as far as Dublin?
Hi Aaron, you are a half-hour closer than where this beat-up stucco was. Send me some pictures I'll provide an immediate bid, One can't fix something unless they know why it's broken. My email or contact info is in the description, Cheers.👨🏻🔬
Good evening Roc Dude, I recommend you google “Plastering contractors” in your area. This may help you decide. This search may also bring up “Yelp.” Theirs is a paid subscription, so their reviews may be biased. This means that if you’re a paid subscriber, any negative reviews will be last or hidden, while if you’re not a member, negative reviews may be placed higher when inquiries are looked for. There’s nothing illegal with this method of advertising as it’s the way the world now operates. I too find their reviews helpful. Or try Google, too, as they are not biased, and the reviews are at no charge. Hopefully, with the help of both review apps, you will find the best fit for your needs. If you’re still unsure, ask to view their completed jobs or repairs and, if possible, speak directly with their past clients. Best wishes, Kirk Giordano Plastering Inc.
Kirk you look exactly the same for the last 10 years. Even the same shirt, lol. But I have watch some of your videos and they have really help but you for got to mention the sore muscles after mixing and apply the stucco. It was a few small jobs on my home, but thanks for all the help.
Howdy the old sore muscles trick, I get that when working off high ladders and thinking man if I fall..... next day sore as hell, as I'm usually hanging on for dear life thus kinda tense.👨🏫
Its amazing Kirk. You pay your taxs every year to get roads and hospitals built etc..Yet you need to PAY to drive on roads that YOU PAYED for. Shame Shame Shame.! ps good video also.
Morning Observer Dude, you do indeed observe the facts, It would make sense for all who pay taxes to be exempt from more road taxes in your area in California. That's like being sentenced to serve three lifetimes for a crime, Not sure what that means either? It's like, if you die then become alive again through some miracle of science, they say, hey, wait a minute, you still owe more lifetimes, get your ass back in jail? 🤔😉
Hello Kirk, Mr Master Plaster. I got a question for you. I have a 15x15 stucco wall where some smart person put roofing tar on it and painted on top of it. Well now the wall has developed lots of alligator cracks all over the wall and leaking inside. Oh great master of plaster what do you recommend I do to fix the wall? The tar is on there really good and the stucco wall that the tar was applied too is very sturdy. Thank you so much! Oh I need to add that the tar is on the stucco wall itself. I tried to scrape it off but it’s impossible lol. The Florida sun has baked it on good. Also the tar itself has been coated multiple times with paint. What makes it even worse is that design of the stucco wall is a very bumpy non smooth old Spanish style making it difficult to patch or remove all the cracks. The reason I need to fix this wall is that it’s leaking into the wall cracks down into an attached lower porch/balcony roof ceiling. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)
Howdy Richard, you can use a roto hammer or much easier, a gas powered pressure washer with at least 4,000 PSI strength then use a turbo tip. If it can be removed this will do it. If it can't be removed or you can't figure out how to get it off. Apply the best waterproof paint which is "Renew," By Stuco-flex.👨🏫
Great work as usual! The downside of living in California. The government tax your income, then with what's left, pay the toll road tax, property tax, gas tax, sales tax, etc... Double taxed with nothing to show for.
