chinese novels are a goldmine that most people turn a blind eye to, sadly. So many classics that definitely deserve an adaptation are left untouched while a lot more trashy new copypaste ones are animated. same applies for manhua adaptations

@@overdosingontomatoes8619 it's just lack of exposure i think which recaps channels are great at doing so if the recaps channel could just cover some really good chinese anime, then it wpuld be great for the recapper probably getting alot of views if it's good and everyone. i think people are just scared to commit to chinese anime cuz it's not so known n trusted yet

@@kvfk8917 That is also very true, and tbf I would also be put off by donghua if I had never read novels before. This is especially due to how the animations and quality of most donghua look, together with the confusing nature of most xianxia or wuxia that kinda expects the viewer already to know the basics of cultivation from previous works to begin with.

The show is vastly different from the manhua. In the manhua, he effortlessly beat all the people taking Bai into the spirit realm. I guess that from the manhua, he is around 1/8th or 1/4 of his power due to cultivation reasons.
