Really neet Martin and Lukas be a great way to learning chord progressions and I could use some major brushing up on that subject!! Still loving the coloring of that Guitar Martin, Great Build,🤠🎸🌊🦬🤘

Thanks Ryan! Yeah, it encourages you to also use non diatonic chords in the progression. Thanks, I was fairly lucky to get it turn out like that on my first try. Cheers, Martin

Looks pretty good. But i am not sure if you are recommending it, or who it would be best for. Also, is there another chord chart that you would recommend if not this one? Thanks
@LMGuitarCorner
@LMGuitarCorner Год назад
Hey John. I wouldn't recommend it to every guitar player per se. If you like to jam with other musicians it might help to change things up and inspire new chord progressions or give you ideas for melodies/solos (the backside of the Chord Files). Also, I think if you are a songwriter, it's defintely worth a try. I don't know any other chord charts like this other than "The Circle of Fifths", which is more like a music theory cool. Cheers, Lukas

I switched over to not really focus on the scale too much on the interchange and instead go Dmin pentatonic and adding the chord tones. Cheers, Martin

Why isn’t there an app for this? Seems like it would be far more handy & could be expanded upon vs these cardboard products. Anyone know of an app that offers a similar concept?

We just got a comment yesterday, where someone said he's working on one, but you found it yourself already. :) Other than that, I know of none, but I also didn't look for one either. Cheers, Martin

Thanks Mark. Yeah, it's really intuitive. It guides you very well, especially if you want to spice it up with something non diatonic. Cheers, Martin

Anyone else find it annoying that they use a "M" as well as an "m". I think it clutters it unnecessarily. Why not just use "m" for the minor chords?
@LMGuitarCorner

I know what you mean. I would definitely make it easer to distinguish between major and minor! Cheers, Lukas

A cool little product. I have a similar device for this that my dad gave me when I started playing. Maybe I'll do a video on it. Cheers Lukas & Martin!!

A really neat little device, though it appears that it's only available in the EU, since the pricing is in Euros.
@LMGuitarCorner
@LMGuitarCorner Год назад
I think it is possible though. PayPal would convert it for you. I tried to select a US address, and it worked. It also calculated shipping costs. 4.50€ standard and 13.80€ express. I've also ordered enough from the US that only has USD pricing. That doesn't mean much. ;) Cheers, Martin

@@LMGuitarCorner It actually didn't turn out to be too expensive to ship to the U.S. It was funny that the postal rate was called SLO, and it really is SLOW, ten to thirty days...

@@offbeatbassgear SLO stands in this case for Slowenia. ;) It's just the regular Slowenian post. Cheers, Martin

I was quite exited n interested as im a metal musician always looking for different interesting chord progressions and ideas. The end of the video watching the guitarist play the most boring uninspired chord progressions! Really? Cmon.

Sorry to have disappointed. But I think for many, and I have to admit, also for me, it's already a big step to just move outside the diatonic chords for a little. Cheers, Martin

I was wondering why there are no apps that offer a similar approach. I’ve yet to find a good app for building chord progressions & constructing full songs, along with the ability to swap out diatonic chords for non diatonic chords. Some apps try but always seem to be lacking in obvious features. Please let me know when you’re finished with your app. I’ll definitely pay for it.
