My tiny brain cannot understand how anyone could come up with an entire language on their own like this, this is insane, I was just flabbergasted the entire time
There are so many facets of this video and all of them are exceptional - the storytelling, the construction of the language, the presentation and animation, the worldbuilding. Absolutely crazy ahaha
This is genuinely the best conlang-related video I have seen on RU-vid. I could spend non-chronologically ordered paragraphs talking about the sheer awesomeness of this video, but I just wouldn't know where to start. I will just say, I am *very* much looking forward for more of this. Have my humblest subscription.
it absolutely baffles and boggles my mind that, not only did you craft and incredibly complex language, but also crafted an entire species and dimension, a narrative and plot for the video, and made a song USING the complex conlang FOR THE PURPOSES OF the narrative and plot??? i am so beyond impressed and inspired that it's frankly unquantifiable LOL
the is insane also I'm very excited to hear more of your conlangs, out of all the ones I know yours are always the best sounding, and the grammar here just segfaults with interesting bits
absolutely phenomenal. the way words change based on who you're speaking to reminds me of the Javanese language, but taken to the extreme. this language is definitely a strong contestant for the CCC
@@Solrex_the_Sun_King as written in the description, the "Agma Schwa's 3rd Cursed Conlang Circus" seems to be a contest for making the most cursed conlangs imaginable (which this one excels at)
This is REALLY impressive, from the editing to the music to the story to the depth of the language. The layers just kept building and building, and it was awesome to watch, definitely inspiring me!
wait... WAIT.. I JUST NOTICED, HOW ARE YOU HAVING ONLY 677 SUBS?!?! the video itself is absolutely awesome and I was constantly edge, worrying that something gonna go completely wrong absolutely love the story, can't wait for continuation the effort that was put in here is just monumental
This is incredibly well made! It's genuinely disappointing you don't have more subscribers with the quality of your work. I look forward to future productions across the multiverse :D
WHAT THE FUCK??? this has to fucking win holy shit this is amazing. I could write a comment here going over how I liked everything in this video but it'd be pointless; everything in this video is so perfect that I don't even know what to say. as a conlang, it feels a little kitchen-sink-y (which is fine, that's what like a majority of the submissions are) but nonetheless the way in which it works is still really cool. honestly I think the "speak correctly or you'll get punished" was a little cheesy, but it still worked really well in context.
I definitely agree with the kitchen sink sentiment!! It's something I was trying to fight with through the whole process of making it lol ; Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts!!
You: 1. Made an extremely complex synthetic conlang with way too many systems, with everything depending on relationship, formality and highly complex etymology as well as an entirely seperate optional tonal system; 2. Made an entire multiverse, plot and narrative just for the showcase video; 3. Did so with incredible storywriting; 4. Animated and presented the thing with incredible immersion and, 5. Made an entire song in the conlang to support the narrative. Stupendous. Flabbergasted. No compliment can remotely amount to the respect and salutation you deserve.
i've been enthused with conlangs for years, and i am completely and utterly blown away by this. i have never seen such an inspired and passionate conlang project - i'm so enamored with this world you've come up with. i hope you're incredibly proud!!!
This is the best cursedlang of all CCC3’s submissions in my opinion, the narration and storytelling was fascinating, the conlangs is incredible and the quality of dialogue and story is amazing, great cursedlang, I wish you win CCC3, congratulations!
This has gotta win. Its gotta. The execution on display is STUNNING. You've so clearly defined the shape of this conlang that it feels like more than just what is shown. The language and the culture that informs it feel like they escape the boundary of the fiction presented to us. I love this so much you have done an incredible job.
As a language learner, each additional revelation on the complexity of the language filled me with increasing dread haha. So much fun, really made the world and the language come to life. Thank you.
This is just incredible, absolutely loved every second of this. The rap at the end especially blew my mind. The algorithm blessed me today. Looking forward to your future work!
Having subscribed for your music stuff, I did not expect to enjoy this conlang stuff as much as I did. This was such a fun watch. Very well editted. The way you've framed things to cover the language in an engaging way that explains the intricacies without getting bogged down in details is very well done. Awesome video.
Aw hey thank you for taking the time to watch it and comment! Yeah I know some of my subs are only here for the music and some are only here for the lang stuff lol, I've been trying to get a good balance between the two. I'm so glad to hear you were able to enjoy it omg!! ❤️
Got randomly recommended this. And wow I wasn’t expecting such quality! The conlang in and of itself is marvelous. The story being told was conveyed with some pretty good acting that left me genuinely wondering if ZeWei (I assume is the name of the bird character?) would be okay after all was said and done. If you plan to make more content like this, I’m definitely subscribing!
this is so impressive, i cant wait to see more of this, your character is adorable, your music slaps, your worldbuilding is terrifyingly indepth, your language feels cursed but at the same time naturalistic somehow, it sounds unique and you honestly didnt sound like you were struggling to pronounce the language asside from when the point was that you were struggling to say a word im so interested in where this series will go omg
Heheheheh thank you so much! Yeah one of my big goals with this was to get something quote "cursed" while staying naturalistic, cause naturalism and evolution are often what I really enjoy in lang projects personally. Glad to have you around! UvU
@@getoutofZEWEI same! in my 2 worldbuilding projects i aim for naturalism and evolution, i find evolution so fun i was planning to submit something to the conlang circus but i never was able to get anything past the concept worked on due to lack of time T^T i might try next year if it meets the requirements still Also, i dont like asking this if it isnt often brought up by the person itself but, are you transfem? cuz if so, were cut from the same cloth. you dont have to answer tho if you wanna keep that ambiguous :3
@@chloverSP Ahhh I understand that ye. Also to answer your question, I'm not quite sure! lmao. I prefer they/them, but I've always been rather masc-presenting and have no intention to change that. Some people consider that trans, some don't. Labels are complicated. >v
i can’t believe people can just make things like this. how are people so endlessly creative. Like, sorry, i was already invested before you dropped effin ENCRYPTION as apart of the language. absolutely incredible stuff
Genuinely didn't know conlangs could be this in-depth, but you've hooked me on the concept enough to do a bit of extensive research on the subject. Glad I stumbled upon your video! I look forward to more from you. :>
I originally found you from youtube recommending new sun city almost a year ago. Then you blow my mind with dai dai, and now you release this!?! What the heck! Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful work with the world! I'm so happy that this is blowing up!
ALLLLLLL OF THISSSSSS WAS BEHIND THE SONGG WHATT????!!!! INSANE. INSANEEEEEEE. dissappointed that youtube notifications dont go through spotify lol i didnt know i listened to xentonal ultrahypercyberjavanese man what the hell and youre making this a series??!!
This was sick!!! So much world building for this video, let alone the language being built that blows my mind how intricate it is!! I loved the music at the end!!! You should be so proud this is so awesome!!!
I feel like my head is on the wall behind because this absolutely blew my brains out--the depth of meaning obfuscation and the number of painful calculations that you have to make to parse words and sentences... I can't even become a volcano, this is such delightful pain I'm just impressed beyond words (not that I'm not trying)... And all the editing and music and constructed scripts!!!!! Thank you for making this--I'm going to be thinking about this for a long time, in this conlang you have concocted the most delicious suffering
OMG WTF IS THIS THIS IS SO AMAZING Like, there's the whole tired cadance throughout the video which was the foundation of the realism, and then the full explanations of grammar interspersed with lore and story, the language switching into Chinese for the partner in the mission (and providing all-important contrast - i know 200 characters and they look like an oasis of simplicity compared to the complexity of the language presented. This language is worse than ithkuil even if it may be easier - it's needlessly complex and that's what makes it so beautiful, and in some way, horrifying, especially with how fucking up the language can have such dire consequences. 10/10 i loved every second of this video and it's going to be one i rewatch several times to appreciate fully
why is this so in depth. i truly appreciate people who make things like this, it doesnt take much to want to think of something like this, but making it more in depth to this degree and sharing it in this type of form to people is so incredibly admirable EDIT: AND THE OUTRO SONG TOO?!?!?!?!?!
I do not even want to imagine the UNGODLY amount of effort that went into this. Truly, truly, well done. Incredible editing, great script, love the story and formatting, and the language... as soon as you started talking about music theory I knew that somehow you would make a song out of this. But this is just absolutely unbelievable
by jove, that was awesome the storytelling and worldbuilding were lovely, the language itself is incredibly confusing and i love it, the song at the end is awesome and your character's very cute!!! how in god's name've you only got 676 subscribers (at the time of writing)? you deserve *faaaaaaar* more than that, m8
Amazing video! I don't know anything about linguistics and the construction of a language, but this video makes the concepts intuitive to me. With my first language being Chinese, I recognized that some of the quirks are similar to Chinese. This conlang takes different weird quirks from languages in our world and takes them to the extreme. As for the video, this is a very well-made video and I love it! The story and world building is intense, you even made music for it, and the editing is smooth and evenly paced, and the visuals are beautiful. I can't imagine the amount of effort needed to make this! I really can't appreciate this video enough! As ZuWei makes their daring escape, narrowly evading the eternal flame, ZuWei's first mission with LagHari Portals is a success! Not sure if the cyborg trees are happy about it though... I can't wait to see more of this series!
Hey this is so fucking cool! I'm not really into languages but the storytelling and the insane amount of creativity just captured me. You're awesome, great work
This made my head hurt a little, but it’s honestly so cool. The way you built the world around the language, the editing, the absolute jammer of a song. I mean, I can’t begin to comprehend the language, nevermind the amount of work it probably was to make this all. All that to say, thank you for an incredible vid
I am absolutely delighted that youtube has recommended me this - I have no idea why I clicked, I have no idea what this video even was, but that was fun
Hehe hell yeah! I like the short form content but doing them meant I had to omit a lot of detail when talking about stuff. Definitely will be making more longer form vids 🤙
@@getoutofZEWEI And I watched all of it. Hole-Lee Craaa--! you blew it out of the water with this debut to your conlanging RU-vidr career! The cyborg tree people dystopia. The layers of complexity. The epilogue. I look forward to what else you have in store.
@@getoutofZEWEI As a fellow conlanger, I also had ideas for a conlang spoken by tree people and one spoken by a Kitsune-like species with an encoded rank system based on tail number. So, I sincerely say that this video has been inspiring.
@@jimboreee Ooohh that sounds really cool!! Yeah I can definitely see how that can affect the culture, would love to see where you go with it if you end up developing it UvU
this is . just so incredible. absolutely amazing. there are literally no words. the worldbuilding is beyond my sci-fi nerd + conlanging nerd self's wildest dreams. absolutely cannot wait for more in the series!!!!!!!!!
came across your channel through some of your shorts and I'm so glad I kept getting you recommended as this was absolutely awesome. I've been interested in conlangs for a while now and the effort put into the language is incredible! And making a song in the language as well as putting the whole video together is so much work... I cant imagine how long this took!!!
this is immensely awesome in so many ways the natural science, the linguistics, the musicology/acoustics, that awesome writing system in both function and visuals, the cyborg stuff man, this is just so cool and deserves more eyes on it (as well as your channel/the rest of your work)
How in the world does this one have 2,000 views and you have only about 2,000 subscribers? This is such a cool conlang, and combining it with a story is awesome. This looks so cool!
This is… probably my favourite youtube video I’ve watched all year. Soooo fucking cool. Song at the end fucking slaps too so I’m super thrilled you’ve released it on spotify!!! Instant sub.
ZeWei in the CCC?!?! Personally, a really cool idea. Especially the use of spoken language rather than just for demonstrations. A whole story put into this. Really cool.
I don't think i could even comment on how astounding this is, despite understanding nothing. How you made this is INSANE... Everything about this video is just.. wow
all of the video leading up to replaying the cyborg command on the phone just to have the cyborg tonal language resolve to music is fucking brilliant AND THE BIRD IS REALLY REALLY CUTE TOO FUCKING MASTERPIECE
I spent twenty and a half minutes on the edge of my seat trying to wrap my mind around this nightmarishly hierarchical language on top of worrying for your safety in this dimension, and then out of nowhere comes this Twilight quote. I think that's the hardest I've laughed this month. Talk about a release of tension! But seriously, this is spectacular! You did such a great job! How long did it take you to develop this language? The worldbuilding is top notch, and I can't wait for the next one in the series. The RU-vid Algorithm has blessed me today.
None of this is getting through to me lol, but this is the coolest thing ever. The video style and editing are top notch. Went through your other stuff and I gotta say, I have faith that great things are coming to you and from you. Just great stuff all around.
this is genuinely one of the coolest things I've ever seen, wish my brain was capable of concocting this kind of stuff... must've taken a while i assume!
Truly a breathtaking video. I hope to see this evolve into actual series(but it most likely wont), I know its takes a lot of work in creating a new language(even though i've never attempted it).
This was the first video I watched from this channel and when I started to realize the speech sample was turning into music with the most detailed lyrics ever seen was... an interesting experience.
I am extremely impressed by everything in this video, never thought about a formality system consuming the language, and the results were wild. Also, loved the song in the end, im gonna for sure learn how to sing it (maybe not the 7-Tone part, but still)
