OH MY GOD. SHE SAID IT. SOMEONE FINALLY SAID IT. "You've maybe always drawn landscapes and you want to try painting people". THIS HAS BEEN MY STRUGGLE OVER THE PAST 3 YEARS. And no one in the art comunity seemed to experience this much ? :( I've heard a thousand times from people who always draw humans and ocs that they hate drawing backgrounds and can't draw landscapes, but people who draw just that seem to be less open about it... weird ! It just feels good that my case is included for once :'l I feel less alone haha Anyway thanks for the video ! I have to say I mostly follow you for your advice on different hardships, you focus on perfectionnism quite a lot and that is one of my struggles too ^^
I love this message . I am a retired primary teacher and daughter of superb professional artists . They didn't put me off painting exactly but 8 was too daunted by them and moved on to other things . Only now with full retirement approaching ,am I just dipping my toes iin watercolour !
This woman is beautiful, smart and so talented ❤ I love watching and listening to her videos. I would truly enjoy meeting and spending time getting to know her in person. I'd be like a sponge taking in all she has to share .

You are so wright. I wish I could get my eyes to agree. I struggle trying to make my paintings looser, but after 60 years as a photographer I am used to seeing sharp and with contrast. I really work at not trying to make things look like a photograph. I am determined tough.
I seem to be the opposite. I like to try new things. It sometimes causes me to neglect the other stuff I do which is more long-term eg. painting with watercolor pencils, and making atcs. I am lucky that I can sign up for art and crafts classes which enable me to try something new, or work further on areas I do in my personal time.
I get stuck sometimes in my Crafting and Art. These are great tips. Ty. 😊 Thinking of trying Watercolor. Just got my beautiful set. 😊 Arts and Crafts is for all ages. I have actually gotten out of my comfort zone with my art and crafting. Pretty proud of myself with that.💖
