Once it clicks and “should” pop out, just pull it out. I was hesitant to force it, but tried after watching this and it worked perfectly for me. Your mileage may vary, but this was my experience.
Okay, soooo... This is a badly titled video. This is to prevent an SD card from *getting* stuck (which I'm sure may be helpful if that's what you're looking for). Nothing at all about what to do when it's already stuck (which is what I'm looking for 😭)
Anyone looking to actually get a stuck card out from a tight slot where tweezers won't work - grab some electrical tape and a razor blade (or something else equally thin and solid). Cut a small piece of tape, slide it into one side of the slot (sticky side facing the SD card). Gently slide your razor blade in behind the piece of tape between the slot and the card. Lightly press the sticky side to the SD Card. Remove blade and gently pull out on the tape. SD card should hopefully slide out.
This is ONLY a solution IF you DO NOT HAVE the memory card STUCK! Make a Video that will actually help people that have the memory cards STUCK and not able to remove!
If your card is stuck in your zoom recorder or your camera, you can insert a safety pin/ blade on the UPPER LEFT corner above the SD card. And then pull it out/ get someone to hold the recorder while you pull it out.
Tons of dislikes. No clue why. My Sandisk got stuck in my Lumix G7, like several times. I got it out (the spring mechanism wouldn't work to eject). I did as you suggested in this video, and it worked perfectly. Not that I could see anything on either edge of the card, but it now works flawlessly. Weird stuff. It happened with two separate Sandisk Ultra 64gb cards (brand-new). Now, no issues with either one. Thanks!
the dislikes are coming from the part he left out. Part 1 - disk is getting stuck. Part 3 - de-burr it. People also want to know the Part 2 - how to get the SD card out of your device. So in a way his problem/solution statement was misleading.
Just happened to me with a new batch of SanDisk cards my first thought was were they fake, defect, what is wrong? A quick search found your video and you were spot on! Methodically deburring all the cards stopped any further sticking.
I had this problem with my new thinkpad P1 Gen 3 using a new SanDisk. Fingernail rub did the trick! The issue is the mold texture. My older working card has a much finer texture.
My sd card got stuck in one of those portable sd card readers. Tweezers didn't work but then I used an adjustable wrench and pulled it out. My sd card is ruined though from the card reader it has scratches on the metal strips. Lucky no need for the data. I'll throw out the card reader.
How about within the SD Card slot? My card won't enter anymore. It feels like it should click but the slot seems clicked in as if a cards in the slot already so my SD card won't go in.
@@SoraFilms Thanks for your friendly advice! Not every device allows you to stick a tweezer in the slot. My micro sd card got totally swallowed up by my tablet. I can't even see the f**ing card!
I have a SanDisk SD card, when I try to play Pokemon Sun it says "You have removed SD card" no it is not write-protected and yes, it is in my 2DS (don't judge the ds)
