This is my dad and I wanted to thank each and every one of you for this beautiful gift. He was very touched and so was the whole family. He is a great pilot and and an even better Dad, thank you for doing this for him. I know you have no way of knowing this but Coldplay is one of his favorite bands so you couldn't have chosen a better song. Thank you! ❤️
@@nesquick9681 nope, the media reports the problems that affect a large part of the population aswell as general topics that are most important (atleast if you are talking about credible media). Whilst this video is very cute and sparks joy, it is close to irrelevant for most people.
When you're an alto and have a 3 octave (C3-E6) range, but still wish you could add baritone/bass to it... •quirks an eyebrow• Lol, you think I'm joking? XD
They were probs going on a trip and the teacher heard about the pilot retiring and told them to sing. I'm in choir at my school and that's what are teacher would have done with us
The arrangement they are singing is supposed to be sung this slow. Its slower than the original but they are singing it properly for the choral arrangement
dude i swear choirs sound so angelic when they aren't under 12 years old edit... so im kind of getting hate, and it may be just my school but im in choir and im 12 years old right now and the people a grade above me sound way better so maybe its just me and other people, but if it isn't the same for you... then maybe don't reply?
@@ava-fx6ml I think Jttv meant they specifically select certain talented adults who've audition compared to an average school aged choir where everyone there wasn't trained or talented and they were just thrown in there because they were interested/it was an easy way to get out of class. I was also in choir and very few people were serious about it and it was so bad lol
My United Pilot husband lost his battle with cancer a few months ago shy of retirement…this is a beautiful tribute to all of those Captains that don’t make it to Retirement!! Thank you for loving on the United Family ❤
Capt. Ron Smith is one of the kindest and most wonderful guys I know. This amazing group of kids couldn't have selected a better man to honor with their beautiful music. Thank you!
i think i read somewhere that that's how you actually sound to other people. and that you only hate it because it sounds different to what you usually hear
This was so touching and beautiful. I still wonder, how he could manage not to cry, as i got really emotional on this. Many thanks to you young people for paying tribute to the pilot's hard work over the last decades! I sincerely wish him that his well-deserved retirement lasts many more years and that he can enjoy this time with his family.
BIG SHOUTOUT TO BASSES AND ALTOS! I always say this on every school choir video, but goddamnit basses and altos are so underrated. Thanks for continuously working, even if no one in the music industry pays attention to y’all 😭
These young kids GIVE ME HOPE IN OUR FUTURE. Not only did they give this wonderful man a retirement send off he will never forget but they just showed pure admiration and respect to an elder without throwing a complete fit. I can tell they didn't throw a fit because they are all still smiling and having fun. Good kids. There is hope for this world.
It’s just little things like this that can make such a bit difference to someone’s life. Now that man knows how appreciated he is for doing 32 years of hard work for all us people. 👍🏽
This got recommended to me after all this time it’s been up. I love that everyone sounds so good and it makes me smile. You guys made the pilot wipe a tear from his eye. Keep it up 👍
Oh bless him I’m surprised he didn’t cry I would have if that was my last flight I bet he taught a lot of other pilots to be like him I wish I could have had a flight with him that really touched my heart
Wow, that was so emotional. When I retire from being a pilot (which will not be any time soon), I would love to have something like this! 1:09 was so funny!
These are the moment that shows, humanity still exists in the world. Loved the song, the Pilot looks so smart and joyful. Loved every bit of the performance 😊
Oh, my! This was just so well done, so beautiful! And am I the only one impressed that these young people sang this powerful song in a language other than their own? Their from Luxembourg!
Beautiful singing and what a kind gesture. Music does indeed bring us together. Best wishes to the choir in their musical endeavors! Good luck in your retirement captain!
One thing you’re taught in life, is that EVERY GOOD THING COMES TO AN END.... but, it’s still so sad. But, in a bittersweet way. Thank goodness for memories. ❤️
I just saw this video and started crying. Sometimes, cruel things happen in this world. But sometimes, people get together and do something so touching for someone else they probably don’t even know. This video shows that our (and my) younger generation carries a lot of hope for a good future, with people caring for each other. Thank you so much for this magical moment!
