I assist and teach those with developmental and physical issues how to enjoy life to is fullest and show them that they are simply differently abled, not disabled. Yes, it may be my paycheck, but my priority are those i am providing care to. Without them, there would be no pay check. I recently got a promotion- didn't expect it or see it coming but I'm so thankful and while it's motivation to keep doing what I'm doing, it's my corrected who make me strive to be better, not the $$! Yea, but then how about paying teachers more? Everyone wants that inspirational, knowledgeable, compassionate teacher. But then pay them barely more than a Walmart employee. Those summer paychecks are simply school year paychecks stretched out to cover about 6 weeks. Most teachers I know get summer jobs and work 60+ hours/wk during the school year. There comes a point when a teacher, regardless of how much she cares and loves her work, simply gives up because it's too much for too little.

It can be said that you have to give respect to get respect and I feel like this young man would not be disrespectful to someone who is being respectful of his words and time as well. I do not agree with minors speaking to adults disrespectfully (whether it be their parents, their teachers, or a complete stranger). And should the teacher really use the language, "quit Bitching", to her student. I saw nothing disrespectful in his words whatsoever. Maybe his tone could be considered rude. However, she couldn't even bother to quit resting on her elbow and sit up properly to actually have a conversation with this young man. Therefore, does she really deserve respect? My mom’s a teacher and her school has multiple positions that need to be filled, the problem is the pay is so bad that basically nobody applies. They had like 10 applications to fill 4 spots, which doesn’t sound bad until you hear that not a single application was complete, and there were only 2 people who were qualified. We pay teachers like dogshit then are shocked when there are dogshit teachers. The fact that there are as many good teachers as there are is mind blowing to me, and they all deserve way more respect than they are given. Not saying this guy is wrong for being mad, we all deserve a good education and it’s time we start paying our teachers for all the work they do

I am sure he went to higher education to get a teacher degree himself. Agreed with the low income to get kids the best outcome himself. Work in his free hours to get a amazing lesson for his children. He wil put all his effort in doing what he said.. -------- I am being sarcastic. Because I was this kid. I was always blaming teacher for how bad education was.... well I am a teacher now myself.. I can tell you.. its mostly not the teacher fault. Its like screaming to a builder why he cant have a house done in one day and giving him only 50 bricks and a hammer and tell him all day he has to work better and faster.

@@DinoMoonCreations I completely understand it's not the teachers fault the system is the way it is, the point this young man was making was that this particular teacher isn't putting in the effort it takes to be a genuine educator, with her even saying so with the 'this is just my paycheck' line. You don't come across anything like this kid, he seems well spoken and comes off like he's spent serious time in thinking about what and how he wants to relay his thoughts and ideas to the world. You say he has a bright future, but I feel that unless he has the opportunity and funds to pursue his dreams and wishes, he will not be allowed to succeed. I say this because in this corporate world, he would be discarded and treated for going against the grain, causing "disruptive" behaviour and being too enthusiastic; having morals is not looked upon gracefully by our corporate overlords. We need a hundred million children and adults. I am an advocate for home schooling. When a child is home schooled correctly, they learn better and have a solid foundation academically to build on. And they will be more college ready.
