+Ashley Murphy Hi Ashley! I definitely think a kinder could do it, but it would need to be structured differently. For younger kids, they would certainly write less and I'd focus more on training them to talk with good eye contact and stuff like that. I would modify all the materials to better fit their level, but it would still be the same idea of them leading the discussion and me sharing my thoughts whenever appropriate. Kinders might also need longer to train and practice. As for dysgraphia, yes, I would certainly make modifications whenever necessary. 👍😊 Thanks so much for your interest!

Mr. Reed, thank you for responding, I am sorry for replying a little bit late. I need to favor if you can help. 1. I asked my students to do some kind of survey about different things at our school like the lunch that serve, maybe about a survey about idea of students about their teachers. I feel it’s Something related to your work, but I need help of how to go second step with this survey. I need their work to be seen at class and at school. Do I need another form or what? You're welcome! The entire conference takes about 25 min, depending on how my student is doing or how often we pause to talk or ask questions. Sometimes I ask my student to skip a certain section if we're short on time.

@@Riedlteach Is there in the classroom only one family at a time? I have seen many experiences where there are two to four families and the teacher is just a guide and asks no questions. I mean I know that on the invitation letters to parents there are said that it`s not a time for chatting with teacher. Have you tried this version too?

Yes, I have done that version too, but it was public middle school. Since I'm at a private school now, the parents definitely pay good tuition money to be able to have the full attention of their child's teacher for 25 min. 😉 There are many variations of student led conferences... it definitely depends on the school and the families.
