Dr. Katie Slocombe, University of York explains how to study primate communication. This video accompanies the Living Links learning resources at www.living-links.org
I once witnessed a chimpanzee protest. I was at the Zoo and a lady was laughing at the chimps...well they didn't like it and the biggest chimpanzee made a loud call then they all sat and turned their backs to us at the glass door so we could not get a pic. The lady kept laughing at them and the main biggest one ran and hit the glass where she was standing. Made another call and all the chimps walked off. That was excellent communication.
